Love triangle
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Edward x reader Alec x reader Benjamin x reader
Warnings: None
Request for: @misskitty1912-blog
Request: Can I request plus size Caucasian female reader in a love triangle whose Bella's sister and Edward Alec and Benjamin fall in love with reader leaving Bella jelous (in x reader stories I ship Bella with Jacob )!
***
During the time of Edward’s absence, you had started believing that Bella would be better off without him, considering the amount of time she was now using to hang out with Jacob Black, a childhood friend.
The more time Bella spent with him, the more you shipped them together and that Jacob would be better of the terms of boyfriend/girlfriend thing. You had the thought in mind for a while, the very thought was both of out of sincerity and pure jealousy. You were Bella’s younger sister, you were younger than her by just a year and you can remember those times where you felt insecure of yourself due to having the plus size body type.
Most of the time, you’re able to ignore those negative thoughts you sometimes had of yourself, but when Bella started dating Edward, you got a little jealous because she had something you didn’t. The first day you had met Edward Cullen was the same day Angela was introducing his family that walked in first to Bella as you listen intently. Edward than walks in like a movie star.
“Who’s he?” Bella asks, eyes gesturing to Edward walking behind.
“That’s Edward Cullen..” Angela begins, you turn to look while tuning everything out around you.
For a moment, you had briefly locked eyes with Edward before his gaze shifted over to Bella. Not long after turning back around, you take another glance behind you and truly had thought Edward had his eyes on you, which was clearly not the case at all as you come to the realization he had eyes fixated on Bella, and that’s where jealousy settles in.
You could feel your heart skip a beat from disappointment. As much as you loved your sister, you couldn’t help the way you feel as the jealousy really kicks in when the two started dating. However, the jealousy soon fades away when Edward dumps Bella in the woods that fateful day and you were angry with him after you go into protecting your sister mode. Later on, you learn of the whole story and you did everything you could think of to help her to cheer up. Nothing seemed to work until everything took a sudden change when she started hanging out with Jacob Black, a childhood friend. It soon comes upons you that the more time Bella spent with Jacob, the more you shipped them as mentioned before.
Later on when Bella had run away with Alice to Italy, you are taken by surprise of the unplanned trip to save Edward from the Volturi killing him. Bella was going to run away without informing your dad of anything, or whereabouts. You made the decision to go along to make sure Bella was safe and brought back home in one piece. All the while you’re thinking you would never find someone, you had no idea that this sudden trip would change your life forever, Italy is the place you begin discovering you were not meant to be with just one mate, but three in total. This discovery was unexpected by all means.
Alec Volturi is the first to have locked eyes with you while entering the throne room shortly after saving Edward. Alec knew right than it was love at first sight, that you were his forever mate until you’re either dead, or until he changes you from human to vampire. It took you longer to get the message, it was when Alec stepped in as Jane tried to pain you for no reason at all. Alec was not only the only your savior so to speak, he was your mate. He was now your mate protecting you from harm, throwing everyone by surprise and off guard before it suddenly hit you that you had more than one mate in the very room you stood in. The discovery of your second mate was revealed as Alec had you hidden behind him, watching as Jane now turns towards Edward to pain him. Seeing that happening before you was what had you lose your shit as you couldn’t pull yourself together.
Alec sensed it quickly and is able to put a stop to Jane on time before she could hurt your second mate, Edward Cullen. The time comes for your group to leave, but you found yourself not wanting to leave Alec behind.
Alec wanted to keep you safe and asked that you leave with your group before anything happens. He does so while promising you both would be together again soon, and that promise was delivered not long after that. The second meeting occurred after winning the battle of the newborns, Riley Biers, and Victoria who was the mastermind behind all of this. When he saw you, he knew you weren’t going to be left behind this time and whisked you away while having you until Irina informed the Volturi family of a crime the Cullens have supposed to committed.
It wasn’t until the snow stuck to the ground you saw your group again, not only that, but you than discover you have a third mate after locking eyes with him from your side of what would have been the battlefield. Alec and Edward sensed it too, and you later got to know him as Benjamin. While having three mates was an interesting experience, you also loved it just as much as you loved them, if not more, loving them with all your heart. Most of all, you loved how the love triangle between the four of your worked, it was something you couldn’t walk away from or leave behind, even if you made any attempts.
This love triangle was what true love was all about, it was true love in your eyes. They all claim to have fallen in love with you first, but you know you had fallen in love with each other at the same time.
Nothing could make you happier.

Riley Biers x Plus-size Reader
Part 2
part 1
Requested by @fyeahtaylorp
( also, I'm ao sorry, I missed the part where you asked the reader to be human😔 please accept my apologies)
Tumblr media
(Riley with golden eyes:Picture edited by me)
(A/N) ‘Hi, I’ll be writing this part in the reader’s pov’
It felt strange every time I caught sight of myself in a mirror, not being able to age physically was something I still wasn’t used to. But I geuss it has it’s perks, at least I’ll stay 18 forever right? Weird.
Today I was finally going to hunt on my own, usually Emmett and Carlisle accompanied me, but Carlisle said that since I wasn’t feeding on human blood at all, that I would be able to have more control over my thirst, hence why I’m hunting on my own.
To say I felt nervous was an understatement, I really didn’t want to lose my cool and attack a hiker or something, but as I stood on the balcony from the kitchen, Carlisle placed a cool hand on my shoulder, his fatherly smile and calm nature helped my nerves a bit, “But what if I do lose control Carlisle? Bella told me what happened when she went out hunting for the first time” there was an edge in my voice but Carlisle merely gave me a soft nudge forward, “That would be highly unlikely (y/n), you’ve been on an animal diet since you were changed, and I doubt any humans will be outside today, there’s heavy rainfall coming after all” as if on cue the first drops started falling, and then more followed and within seconds we were drenched. If I were still human, I was sure I’d be shivering right now. I let out a deep, unnecessary breath, maybe because I wanted to feel more human. “Go on, Alice will keep an eye out” Carlisle encouraged me, with a nervous and unsure step forward, I shot off into the greenery.
The rain had only become heavier and by now I was soaked to the bone, I was frustrated, my hair was stuck to my forehead and I had yet to successfully catch a single animal. I was about to give up when something in my peripheral shot past me. I stood still and took in my environment. The hair at the back of my neck suddenly stood on edge and I turned around just in time for a large black figure to tackle me with a gastly growl. More howls and growls surrounded us and I opened my eyes to see a large black wolf with its teeth bared staring right back at me, almost daring me to make a wrong move. I hissed back at it and the wolf pushed me further into the ground making me wince. The wolf growled menacingly for  a moment before I subtly moved my hands to grab its front paws which were pushing down on my shoulders. I threw the beast off me and shot to my feet, but that seemed to trigger the rest of the wolves and they all shot at me together. I dodged a silver one who was aiming for me legs and pushed another comming at me from behind into a tree making it whine. I shot up into the tree above me just narrowly escaping the drooling jaws of the black wolf. I was panicking,  there’s too many of them,  five wolves against one vampire, the chance of me taking them all on was next to null. The wolves circled the tree, snapping their jaws up at me. I hissed at them.
I didn’t know how I was going to get out of this, it would be impossible without me losing an arm or leg. I let out a curse, “Damnit” I hissed, I was going to be stuck here for who knows how long and these mutts didn’t seem like the type to just leave when they got bored. Luckily for me, a higher force must have heard my struggle because within minutes the entire Cullen coven made their presence known just a few yards from the tree I was currently in.
“Sam!” at the mention of the name the black wolf’s ears twitched, but kept its eye’s on me,Carlisle spoke again, “Please, she’s the newest member of my family, she didn’t know about the treaty, I’m sorry, it’s my fault”. The black wolf, Sam, backed away from the tree  and huffed at me before barking at the other wolves, who did the same. I looked over at the Cullen’s and all of them appeared a bit on edge, Emmett beckoned me over and I hesitantly dropped down from the tree and within a split second I was behind Emmett, “And I thought I was the troublemaker (y/n)” Emmett whispered, but Carlisle shot him a look which made Emmett lose his smirk. I patted his arm sympathetically to which he game me a smile.
The tension in the air was tense and lasted longer than any of the parties would of liked, but eventually the wolves  retreated and we made our way home. It wasn’t until we were nearer to the house that I fully noticed the burning sensation in my throat which reminded me that I had still not fed, Edward voiced this and Carlisle told Emmett to help me hunt a deer while the rest of them went on home. I apologised to Emmett but he brushed it off, “Don’t worry about it (y/n), you’ll get it eventually” I didn’t let it show on my face, but the guilt I felt was overwhelming but Emmett’s jokes managed to raise my spirit and the guilty feeling didn’t last long.
Volterra, Italy. At first glance one wouldn’t think that it was under the rule of Vampires, but if you knew the right people, or rather vampires, it didn’t seem like sunshine and daisies.
The three ruling kings had gained a new member to add to their ranks, a vampire that Aro felt would make a fine addition, due to his ability to sense whether someone was lying.  Aro stood in front of the young man, a boy who was turned at 19 and previously served a vampire named Victoria.
“Oh magnifico, is it not brothers? To have gained another treasure in young Riley! It is such a joyous occasion, is it not my boy?” Aro’s red eyes bore into the young man’s eyes before him, Riley smirked, a glint in his eyes, and his voice sounded like smooth honey when he spoke, “It is indeed, but I owe it all to you Aro”, Aro grinned clapping his hands together, “Marvellous...I have an errand for you already” Riley frowned, “What is it?” , Aro smirked , “Go to the Cullen’s, I believe you’ve met Edward before...He and his mate have a child, I want you to go have a look for me, tell me how the child has developed, but  do not cause a scene, my dear friend Carlisle already knows you’re on the way”
Riley was gone in an instant.

Tumblr media
Riley screamed for Victoria but she never came. Her need for revenge consumed her as she abandoned him in an attempt to get to the human, Bella. He didn’t have time to feel betrayed and upset, those emotions would have to wait.
The wolf that had him in his jaws sunk his teeth even deeper into his marble shoulder. Riley screams in agony. He uses his one good hand to punch the wolf. The wolf release him for a second to readjust his grip. Riley knew the would go for his neck next and needed to act quickly.
Riley narrowly avoids the snap of the wolf’s jaws. He spins around and kicks its rips. The wolf whimpers as it falls in the snow. Riley stands and sends another kick to the head before the wolf could get up. He could hear the wolf’s heartbeat signaling that he had just knocked him out. His instinct told him to kill the wolf but the flight response was beginning to overpower his fight.
He could hear the cackling of fire and another heartbeat. He knew Victoria was the one burning in the snow. He also knew he wouldn’t be able to fight off the mind reader. Grabbing his broken off hand, Riley fleas the scene.
When he feels as if he’s a safe distance from the fight, Riley reattaches his arm. His would heal but leave his throat blazing in hunger. He stumbles upon a home in the middle for he woods. He hears a heartbeat inside.
Silently, Riley enters the home. Music plays loudly from one of the bedrooms. Riley checks the house and finds that the human upstairs is all alone. Soundlessly, Riley speeds to the upper-level and comes to a stop just outside the closed door.
The scent of the human inside flows from under the door. Riley’s eyes close and he inhales sharply. He’s never smelt something so sweet, so intoxicating. He hears footsteps coming towards him. He makes a split second decision. By the time the door opens, he’s nowhere in sight.
He doesn’t understand it. He’s unbearable hungry. Yet, when he had the perfect opportunity, he hesitated and fled. He didn’t stop running until he was in the small town of Forks. A couple of unfortunate souls falling victim to his ravenous hunger.
He knew this was Cullen territory and now he’s had a taste of their power. He knew they could tear him apart. The logical plan was to leave and never come back. He had to get as far away from here as possible but he stayed.
That scent clouded his mind. He didn’t even know who it belonged too. When it occurred to him that he didn’t even know what the human looked like he was overcome by the urge to find out. He needed to know.
This lead him to sticking around. He prayed the Cullen’s didn’t know. He kept his head on a swivel and kept moving around. He hunted discretely and never drew attention to himself.
He stayed around Forks for a couple of months before he smelt the scent again. This time, it’s wasn’t muffled by a door. The smell almost knocked him off balance. His feet followed it before his brain could comprehend what was happening.
Then he saw you. You were as beautiful as you were intoxicating. He wondered if your skin was as soft as if looked. He imagined what your lips would feel like against his. He felt as if cupid took the time to shoot him with an arrow as he stared at you with that human, Bella, that Victoria was obsessed with.
Then his eyes fell to your stomach and hips. By God, his mouth watered at the sight of you. All he wanted to do was wrap his arms around you. He wanted to touch you all over. He wanted to grip your love handles and kiss every inch of skin. He smirks as he imagines you on a bed covered in bite marks and hickies.
He wanted to worship your body. Everything about you drew him in. Once he was able to push past what your body did to him, he began to wonder who you were. Were you kind and compassionate? Did you have a dark and dangerous side? He was desperate to find out.
He followed you and Bella for a while. He knew Bella would recognize him. He needed to get you alone but she just wouldn’t leave. But when she did, he moved in.
“Oh, I’m sorry, wasn’t watching where I was going,” Riley apologizes as he ‘accidentally’ bumps into you. A jacket covers his freezing arms and glasses hide his ruby eyes. Thankfully it was bright out despite it being cloudy so he didn’t stick out too badly.
“Oh, no problem,” You assure him. Riley became desperate to hear you talk more.
“I’m Riley,” He introduces himself praying you didn’t know who he really was.
“Y/n,” You reply, shaking his gloved hand. He smirks, giving your hand a gentle squeeze before releasing it.
“You here with friends or something?” He asks looking around. His eyes quickly bounce back to you unable to look away for long.
“Uh, yeah, my friend just went to the bathroom”
“Oh, well, can I buy you a drink while you wait for them?” Riley asks hoping to have some more time with you. However, it doesn’t work out like he hoped.
“Y/n!” Bella shouts, strutting up to you quickly. “Get away from him,” She roughly grabs your arm and pulls you back. Riley can’t help but grow threateningly. He didn’t like her handling you so roughly.
“Bella! Let go,” You grumble, ripping your arm from her.
“That’s Riley,” Bella tells you. “The one Victoria turned,” She explained. You turn back to him and he gives a shrug not denying it.
“Is that why you’ve been following us all day?” You ask him. His eyebrows raise, impressed you had caught him. “Because you wanted to get Bella?”
“No,” He shakes his head. “Because I want to know you.” He tells you. He takes his glasses off, unashamedly staring into your eyes without the glasses as a barrier. “You caught my eye and you simply look too... ravishing to not know,” He flirts.
“What can I say?” You shrug trying to control the blush. “I’m a snack,” Riley smirk broadly.
“How about that drink?” He asks you, tilting his head. He continues to smirk coyly at you.
“Y/n, don’t,” Bella whispers. “We should go back.” She states eyeing Riley uncertainly.
“Sure,” You nod, accepting Riley’s invitation. You had meant to agree with Bella but something about Riley made you want to go with him. You grew up with vampires so you knew it wasn’t his vampiric attractiveness that drew you in. It was something else that caught your attention, something specifically...  Riley.
“No, let’s go,” Bella says, trying to keep you safe. She didn't trust Riley. Hell, last time she saw him he was trying to kill her. The last thing she wanted was for you to go off with him and have him kill you.
“I’m sorry, I don’t take orders.” You snap at Bella.
“I’m sure I can change that,” Riley flirts more. You blush madly, this time there’s no controlling it. The purr in his voice sends a shiver down your smile and desperately makes you want to palm your pants but you restrain yourself.
Bella rolls her eyes and her attitude that you’ve been dealing with all day finally makes you snap. You liked Bella but you liked Bella in small doses. At this point, you’ve had enough of her to last a year.
“Keep rolling your eyes. Maybe you’ll find a brain back there,” You snarked.
“Carlisle won’t like this,” Bella warns.
“Carlisle doesn’t have to know,” You says, giving her a warning look. You grew up with the Cullens. By now, you know how to keep certain thoughts private from Edward but evading Alice’s visions are a little trickier. You just hope that she isn’t seeing this.
“Fine, be that way, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Bella says, eyeing Riley once again.
“I’d tell you to go to Hell but I don’t want you stinking up my home,” You spit back before walking across the street to the nearest bar. Riley is quick to follow behind you. “I’m big, Riley Biers, I hope you can keep up” You try to flirt.
He smirks at you. Your breath hitches when his hands don’t hesitate to grab you meaty hips. He slams your back against the outside wall of the bar with just enough force to turn you on. He growls lowly and dips his head into your neck. He takes a deep whiff of your scent.
“I look forward to it,” He growls, his voice an octave lower than normal. “I hope you taste as delicious as you look,” He growls in your ear. His hands give your juicy curves another squeeze before he steps back. “After you,” He winks, opening the door for you.
You should have known that blabbermouth Bella wouldn’t be able to keep a secret. By the time you got home, all the Cullens knew about you and Riley. The only ones that seemed remotely happy was Esme and Alice. Carlisle looked conflicted but wasn’t rude nor mean like Edward.
“What were you doing spending the day with Riley Biers? Do you know how dangerous he is?” Edward growls the minute you enter the room. You sigh looking at Bella.
“You do know what they say about snitches, right?” You ask, tilting your head. Your insinuation causes Edward to growl menacingly. He only takes two steps forward before he’s thrown across the room and you’re pushed behind someone. “Riley,” You breathe in surprise.
He had followed you home. He didn’t know how the Cullen’s would behave if they knew about your day together. He smirked when he heard your comment to Bella but it disappeared when Edward appeared threatening to you.
He acted upon instinct. One second he was watching from a distance and the next he was in the middle of the room protecting you. He knew he was out numbered but he realized it didn’t matter. He’d take on the world to make sure you were safe.
Instantly everyone’s on edge. Edward stands back up and hisses at him. Riley hisses back, holding his arm behind him as if to assure himself that you’re safe. Before things can escalate, Alice moves between the two of them. In order to ensure her safety, Jasper moves with her. His eyes glare at Riley and Edward, daring either of them to even go near Alice.
“He’s not going to hurt anyone, especially, Y/n. You know that, Edward” Alice tells him. “I know you’ve read his mind. All he wants is to protect Y/n. They’re mates, I’ve seen it.”
“Wait, mates?” You question. Riley relaxes slightly when Edward does. Riley then turns to you looking unsure but hopeful. You offer him a small smile. “I look nothing like Victoria... but hopefully you still like me,”
“You’re right, you’re nothing like her.” Riley tells you. His hand raises to cup the side of your face. “You’re everything she’s not. You’re electrifying. You awaken emotions, instincts, in me that I didn’t know I had. You’re everything I could ever want...” His hands both graze over your luscious curves. You have a moment of insecurity that’s washed away when you see the hunger in his eyes. He lips his lips and pulls you close. “And so much more,” He whispers.

Tumblr media
You were walking your usual route to your favorite cafè, because you had just gotten a good grade on your test exam and wanted to celebrate with a cold vanilla frappuccino.
But right as you were coming in, someone was coming out, a tall blonde headed boy, who looked to be your age, hands down the most beautiful boy you've ever seen around forks. You knocked into him, but just as you were about to fall backwards, a hand tightly caught your arms. "Careful there, we don't want you getting hurt now do we?" He said as he pulled you to your feet to stand beside him. He grabbed his bag he had dropped, and you were just confused as to why he was talking to you. In shock you mumbled a 'thanks' quietly but he still heard. "I believe I've seen you around here.. With a pixie looking girl I think..." He said as he thought back to the memory and chuckled a bit at his description.
"Um.. Yeah, I live around here. I don't think I've seen you here.. I-I mean I would remember a face like-" You stopped yourself and sighed. His gorgeous brown eyes found yours and looked into them for a second. Riley smirked and slipped a piece of folded up paper into your bag and walked away.
When you regained certainty of your surroundings, still in shock of what had happened, you grabbed the paper out of your bag and unfolded it to find his number on the back of it. Of course, this was obviously ment for Alice not you. You sighed sadly as you put it back in your bag and walked into the cafè.
A few months had passed since your encounter with the gorgeous blonde. You saw a missing persons flier posted in the cafè and took a look at it while you were waiting on your coffee. "Riley.. Biers..." You whispered his name as you read it. Your heart dropped as soon as you saw his face. Tears built in your eyes as you stared at it. Your hand covered your mouth as you ripped it off the wall and ran out the cafè. It couldn't be. It couldn't be him. You had no idea why this was effecting you so bad. But the only guy you were interested in, could possibly be in a ditch dead somewhere.
You felt your heart break as you slid down the side of the cafè. You picked up your phone to call Carlisle, to come pick you up but as soon as you did that you saw the prettiest red eyes in front of you.
It was Riley, only he looked different. Irresistibly and undeniably beautiful. He was pale with gorgeous black and red mixed eyes. You felt a pull towards him, a very strong one you couldn't deny. The longing to be closer, and to be in his arms was very strong. You felt your soul was finally at peace, like he was the missing peace to your broken puzzle. You wiped your eyes and just stared.
Riley looked you up and down and smirked. "And I thought you were absolutely breathtaking while I was human... Now doesn't even compare." He said as he got closer until your face was inches from his. Your face was completely red and you were at a loss for words. You don't think anyone has ever said that to you before. And usually you thought, words were words, nothing to take seriously. But these words he ment. He wiped the tear from your cheek, and spoke. "Tell me why you were crying gorgeous." He whispered.
"I-I thought..." You mumbled and just stared into his eyes as you let his words sink in. "Riley... Was your number.. For me?" You mumbled and as soon as the words came regret hit you hard, terrified of rejection.
Riley smiled softly at you and grabbed your warm hand gently in his cold one. "Whom else would it be for?" He whispered as he placed a small and delicate kiss to your hand. You were definitely at a loss for words. "Now then.. How about I buy you coffee, and you can tell me why you never called me?" Riley said with a chuckle.
You looked up at him with a smile and walked with him into the dim lighted cafè you met at. "Now that, Mr. Riley Biers, I can explain!" You said playfully pushing his side finally happily with your mate.

Dinosaur and the Vampire:
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
MY MAIN MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Y/n gasped, the pain was rippling from her chest now, ricocheting through her muscles as she collapsed on her bedroom floor. She could already guess his next words.
‘We’re leaving.’
***
The past couple of months had been glorious. Following the disaster that was the ending to y/n’s junior year where she somehow managed to get tangled up in a high speed car chase with a vampire named Victoria (who had promptly taken her hostage in order to track down y/n’s best friend Bella) - things had begun to look up.
Her infatuation with the town’s local medi-hero Carlisle Cullen had surprisingly taken off, after of course he revealed himself of being a 300 year-old vampire who had a taste for bunnies. Most days she met up with him at his mansion in her brand-new white Ford Bronco, that which Carlisle had bought specifically to save her life and, following the destruction of her own car, decided to gift her - that was an interesting conversation with her parents.
Of course that accident hadn’t just left her with a beautiful new mechanic baby but also some battle scars. The largest of which was a crescent white line arching over her left brow, not to mention the faded lines circling her waist. Her arms had healed up nice enough, the rope had caused them to double in size as blue and green bruises splotched on the surface for the first few weeks but they eventually died down. The story went that after being in a lot of stress and anxiety y/n had lost sight of the road and crashed into a car and it was stunning how no one thought to question it.
It was difficult being around her personal doctor for the first few days after the crash. So often would she catch him staring mournfully at her scar and bound hands, evidentially blaming himself for her battered state. Y/n spent most of the time convincing him she was fine and reminding him that she would go through so much worse to be where she was today.
And where she was, was a few weeks into her affair, unbeknown to all apart from Carlisle’s family and Bella. Together, Carlisle and her would often circle around the endless abyss of wood and glass that was the Cullen house, or drift up and down the small forest of a garden they had out back. Talking, always talking.
Carlisle was fascinated by every aspect of her previously thought mundane life. She could watch as he made mental notes of her favourite bands and books, what colleges she wanted to go to, her dream job. Y/n so often hated talking about herself but only because she felt that her life paled in comparison to that of Carlisle’s. He had of course explained his entire existence to her, right from its origins in 17th century London, and yet there was still so much he mentioned off-hand that left y/n floored.
Of course with the cat being out the bag, y/n’s and Bella’s friendship felt like it was flourishing for the second time. Now Bella was able to be honest with why she had been so distant, she didn’t have to lie when she explained the intensity of her and Edward’s relationship or why she kept disappearing with him after school. Y/n was able to confine to her about her relationship with Carlisle, about the way he always seemed to be looking at her through his soft amber eyes and the way he was so comfortable in touching her. Constantly brushing his fingers over her wrist or stroking her hair out of her face. All in all y/n had never been happier, of course until Bella’s tragic 18th.

For a night that would be so monumental to y/n’s life it seemed strange she wasn’t even present. Her parents had somehow dragged her on a holiday in Florida. And after giving Bella her early birthday present and a promise to Carlisle that she would be careful, she hadn’t thought much more of her time away. She spent most of the time on the beaches, reading and reliving all her memories with the doctor.
He had kissed her only a few nights ago. It came quite literally out of the blue. She was only stopping by his house to pick-up Edward’s copy of ‘The Catcher in the Rye’ when he was at the door waiting for her he seemed somewhat disturbed, as though he had had a rough day at the hospital. She had smiled at him as she got out and he in turn had pattered down the front steps.
“Hi.” Was all she managed to get out before he had caught her lips in his, his body flushed against hers as she was pushed against the car.
“Sorry.” He whispered breathlessly when the kiss had unfortunately come to a close and he rested his forehead against hers, gently rocking her in his arms. “I couldn’t wait any longer.”
Yet she couldn’t stay on holiday forever and inevitably she returned to the mess that was life back at Forks. When she got home the first thing she wanted to do was see Bella, to ask her about her birthday, if Alice got her that necklace y/n helped pick out, but Charlie was no help.
“I’m sorry y/n...” He looked incredibly stressed. His shirt old and stained his hair sticking up at the back, heavy set bags hanging below his eyes. “Bella...she’s...she’s not good right now.”
Y/n assumed Bella had come down with something and so she shrugged it off, blaming Charlie’s appearance on well, Charlie stuff. It was the next day at school when things started to feel really wrong, when the pain began to dig it’s hole.
***
“You looking for the Cullens?” Angela asked. Y/n snapped her head around, embarrassed that she had been caught glaring at the completely empty table near the back of the cafeteria. She would have never guessed it was related to Bella’s illness.
“Something happen?” Y/n tried to appear disinterested, picking at her food. It was September and not sunny so it didn’t make sense for them to be away perhaps they were in need of a feed or maybe they had family business...
“Yeah, they moved away.”
Angela said it like someone would talk about the weather and yet she might as well have leaned across the table and shoved her fork through y/n’s chest.
“What?” The word squeaked out. Y/n felt the colour drain from her face.
“The dad...you know the doctor one...well apparently he got some big time job offer down in California and...”
Angela’s words dissolved into the air, muffled by some invisible blanket. Distantly y/n was aware of her arms going limp, her fork clattering out of her hands as her body tingled numbly underneath her. The worst feeling was the shortness of breath, the way air couldn’t seem to move through her lungs anymore as her chest was weighed down with what felt like a sphere of lead.
The rest of the day couldn’t pass slowly enough. In history it seemed like y/n was watching the clock forever her mind racing a million miles an hour. Surely they hadn’t left properly, Carlisle couldn’t leave without saying goodbye at least. No, it had to have something to do with vampirism, maybe an old friend called or maybe they were in danger, 5 more minutes then gym and then she would find out.
In the end she decided to skip gym altogether jumping in her car and racing home, still in her daze. She needed to see Bella and then she would head up to the Cullen’s, there was no way they had really moved away. Maybe it was just so the humans weren’t getting suspicious, a strange feeling pulled at y/n’s gut as she remembered that technically, she was a part of the ‘humans’ or supposed to be at least.
“Charlie is Bella in?”
“I’m sorry y/n-”
She pushed past him, muttering an apology as she went but Charlie appeared too exhausted to stop her. Turning left she raced up the stairs two at a time before exploding into Bella’s room, she would know from Bella, she would get her answer.
Bella sat on her bed, her face white, her eyes glossed over. She didn’t even look at y/n as she walked in.
“Bella?” Y/n’s voice was shaky, the tears already bubbling in her throat. She knew deep down that she already had her answer. “Bella?”
Finally she turned to her, but there was no recognition. Nothing. Complete emptiness behind her eyes as she stared back for a few seconds before her eyes flickered forward.
Y/n left, apologising to Charlie under her breath as she jumped back in her car. But it was too late, the pain had already settled in her chest, her mind was already convinced. They were gone. He had left. Without even saying goodbye.
It was inescapable now, it spread like fire across her body, consuming her whole. She tried to start up her car but her body doubled over and she grit her teeth in pain. It had begun.
***
She didn’t know where to go, what to do. Most of her wanted to go to the Cullen’s house but she already knew it was most likely empty, devoid of all life. Could she really handle that?
Y/n went to start up her car when she realised that this car was all Carlisle had given her besides her own memories. She raced out of it, turning away from the sight of it and running into her house.
When she got to her room she shut her curtains with so much vigour a few hooks snapped off the edge, she knew she would see the pale car in her drive if she left it open. Before she knew it she was crying, trying desperately to control her emotions before they consumed her whole. Then she saw it.
Resting on her bedside table was an ivory note with her name etched onto the page in rich navy ink.
‘Dearest y/n l’n,’
A letter. He had left her a letter. She opened it carefully, if what she assumed was true this, as well as her car, might be all she had left of him; her sobs still hiccuping in her throat, she raced her eyes over his calligraphy. Five paragraphs. That was all. Five paragraphs loosely explaining how Edward was in a rough place, how people were judging Carlisle for his youth, how he needed to put his family first - five paragraphs.
Y/n gasped, the pain was rippling from her chest now, ricocheting through her muscles as she collapsed on her bedroom floor. She could already guess his next words, the words to conclude the letter.
‘We’re leaving.’
The worst feeling was when she read ‘we’, she knew from this word alone she was to understand that Carlisle did not group her with his family. The letter gave no insinuation that he was deeply sorry for their departure, or that he would in any way return at all. How, in the space of a few hours, could her world be turned completely inside out?
She went from giddily planning a small future with Carlisle to believing he had never cared for her at all. If he did, it certainly wasn’t as much as she had cared for him. Another wave of pain beat her down. She was just a stupid kid with a crush. Another wave. She was a fool, an embarrassment to assume that he wanted her even half as much as she wanted him.
Her tears got too much then, the letter shaking out her hands as the pain, now unbridled, exploded out of her. The waves of heartbreak crashing into her again and again, her stifled screams bouncing off her walls and ringing back in her ears, haunting her with her own pain.
He was gone, and he had taken her heart with him.
***
“Y/n we’re worried about you.”
“Don’t be.” Y/n laughed loudly, pushing her untouched pasta around on her plate. Angela glanced at her through tense eyes. “I already have a mum, Angela.” The words came out harsher than she meant to, not that she cared.
“But seriously, Mack?” Angela whispered, her voice low so the others wouldn’t hear. Y/n rolled her eyes.
“We’re not a thing, we just hang out and he...helps me out.”
“He’s a druggie.” Her voice was low, accusing, incredulous. Another roll of y/n’s eyes.
“Duh Angela. What do you think I meant by ‘helping me out’.” Angela just shook her head disappointed. Y/n didn’t care, she couldn’t. Technically sitting at that lunch table on that Friday she was still coming down from her high this morning, her brain soft and fuzzed around the edges and, most importantly, the pain in her chest non existent.
The drug scene in Forks was nothing to be impressed by. It was only by luck that y/n had met Mack, a guy a few years out of high school who had never made it to college. Y/n was pretty sure he was crushing on her but she didn’t mind exploiting that a little if it meant she got high for free.
It had been four months since they had left. They might as well have taken Bella with them considering she was a shell of a human being: unresponsive, uncooperative. There was nothing behind her eyes, just like the day y/n had come searching for her. That had been one of the last times y/n had stepped foot in the Swan house. Partly because y/n’s new found drug habits wouldn’t go down well with Chief Charlie Swan, partly because y/n couldn’t stand the sight of Bella.
The emptiness, the hollowness, the pain. It was just a reminder to y/n of what was waiting for her the day she became sober. In the beginning, after a few days of wallowing in the pain, feeling as though she were unable to move, y/n had forced herself to go to the beach where she had ran into a bunch of La Push boys. They were smoking green and it was clearly their first time, they called out and invited y/n over clearly expecting that she wouldn’t accept.
But she surprised both them and herself by walking over. After sitting and smoking them with a bit she found herself smiling and laughing at their jokes as her head became warmer and fuzzier, moreover, the pain of his abandonment warmed into nothingness. She had asked them where they got the weed and they had pointed her in the direction of Mack.
“Down for tonight?”
Y/n read the text as it flashed across her screen.
“You bet :)″
She sent back. Two more lessons and then her high could be refreshed and the cycle could continue.
***
Y/n gasped as she awoke. Nightmares had been more common the past week. They were a regular occurrence when he had first left but going to bed high had always numbed it out. But recently his ivory skin and ribbons of muscles were becoming clearer through the haze.
Rolling over in the dark with some desperation she flicked on her phone and dialled his number.
“Hey Mack, I just called cause-”
“You have a bad high?” He murmured over the phone, distantly she could hear his TV playing in the background. She could picture him, half-dressed surrounded by trash as he got himself high for the third time today. Y/n pushed the image away - no, I’m not like that. It’s different for me, I have a reason.
“Yeah.” She muttered, “I just didn’t know who to call.”
“Usually bad highs are a sign you’ve been smoking too much.” She had basically been smoking consistently for four months now and if she wasn’t smoking she was drunk and if she wasn’t drunk then the pain began to settle.
“Ugh, are you going to tell me I have to stop?” She laughed quietly over the phone, trying to cover the slight desperation in her voice. Distantly she was aware of her parents sleeping in the next room, it was stupid, she was eighteen now and it felt as though she had been through enough trauma to move out, to get away from school. On the other hand school seemed to be the only thing holding her together now.
“No, you don’t need to stop smoking but maybe try something else?” He asked nonchalantly.
“Something else?”
“I stock more than green but it’ll have to be sooner rather than later.”
“Sooner?” Y/n murmured robotically. She had bought enough to get her through the week.
“This weekend?” He asked, almost as if he read her mind.
“See you then...your place?” She rolled over in the dark.
“See you then?” She could hear the enormous grin settle on his lips and it sent a shiver down her spine - she hung up. She had promised herself to never do anything more serious than weed but now she was faced with an ultimatum: break her promise or embrace the darkness.
***
“Hi Mack.” Y/n smiled when he opened the door, he didn’t say anything just grinned and stood to the side letting y/n into his dingy apartment. Y/n had used the same lie to her parents that she used whenever she came here - that she was sleeping over at Angela's. Not that they ever checked.
Of course she wasn’t  sleeping over at Mack’s, to be honest she didn’t trust him enough for that, normally she left late and would drive her car up to the Cullens house, it wasn’t too far and the road was easy enough to follow when intoxicated. It was the only time was she was able to wander around the house without feeling any guilt or remorse.
Mack’s place was tiny, made worse by the clutter and rubbish. A small corridor lead to a small living room which the tiniest of kitchens looked out into. Mack had a strip of lights around the top of the ceiling that were constantly flashing multi-coloured as loud obnoxious music played, somewhat muffled in the smoke.
“Hey y/n.” Danny, Mack’s roommate, smiled from the couch, clearly already lost.
“Hey Dan.” She smiled before collapsing at his feet, her knees propped against the coffee table where booze and skins cluttered the surface.
“You’re in for a treat.” He slurred, his arms limp by his sides as his eyes flickered back and forth, his mouth ajar. Y/n felt somewhat excited at the sight of him, so out of his head - this excitement no longer frightened her.
“He’s not lying.” Mack laughed, full of energy as he jumped up and grabbed something off the kitchen counter before holding it in front of her face. A small white square was compressed in the middle of a tiny plastic bag. “These things pack a punch.” He laughed, y/n laughed. “You’re still down to do this right? I’m not going to pressure you or anything.” He said, and for a moment it looked like he was actually concerned for her.
Y/n thought seriously about it for a moment. There was nothing stopping her from getting up and walking out, telling him that it was a mistake to come here, even just telling him that she’ll run the risk of sticking to green. Except the weed wasn’t enough anymore, she was realising that. To keep him away she would have to go further, and she was more than willing. It seemed somewhat funny, that to escape her doctor she had to pollute herself.
“Of course.” Y/n heard her voice laugh as she shuffled out of her jacket and pulled her hair out from it’s knot. If Mack and Danny could, she could.
“Awesome.” He grinned before sitting down on the coffee table in front of her so that her head was somewhat between his knees. “This is how you take it.” He said, clearly enjoying being a ‘teacher’. Y/n could see him properly then.
Mack was in his early-twenties, the same age he was supposed to be. A short brown beard tufted around his jaw whilst shoulder length brown hair was pulled into a low pony at the back of his head. He was sweet really, just lost.
“Stick your tongue out.” Y/n obliged, picking up on the moment of tension as he placed the white square on her tongue with his forefinger. She felt no guilt as she lapped her tongue back into her mouth slowly, gazing into his dark eyes as his finger rested on her bottom lip.
The rest of the night was a blurry mess; mistakes were definitely made and y/n was definitely going to have to find a new dealer. It was strange how that night only happened because she was so desperate to escape Carlisle Cullen, and yet for most of it, it was his icy face that she was picturing instead of Mack’s.
***
Weeks had passed and y/n’s drug exploration was starting to get a little out of control. She was sure her parents were picking up on her strange behaviours: never home at weekends, always fidgeting, bleary eyed and always tired. Perhaps she was just being paranoid, Mack said that could be one of the side effects.
But it was lucky she was high one specific Friday as she parked her car outside Mack’s apartment complex. She glared at the Bronco, she had seen Bella ripping the radio (Emmett’s gift to Bella) out of her own truck, removing all traces of the Cullen family’s existence. It wasn’t so easy for y/n.
She was thinking of him again. It had been quite obsessive these past few days and that’s why when she first saw him, leaning against his black Mercedes in the shadows, she couldn’t quite believe her eyes.
“What the hell.” She was so sure she was hallucinating, she blinked fiercely.
“Y/n.” He said her name and she felt her eyes flutter closed, how good it felt to hear her name dripping from his lips. She wasn’t aware she had memorised his voice so well. She audibly hummed in response to the sound before snapping herself out of it and ignoring his form. Mack was just upstairs with something new to try and then he would go away. “Y/n.” He said her name again as though he were sure she hadn’t heard him.
Y/n ignored it. The sweetness of his presence was quickly turning sour, and the corners of the hole in her chest were beginning to sting.
“Y/n, it’s me.” That stopped her. From the corner of her eye she could see him step out of the shadows, his pale skin iridescent in the street light. He looked unsure, pleading, desperate. “Y/n.”
“No.” She gasped suddenly. There was no more guessing, she couldn’t even try to deny that it was truly him. She stumbled slightly in the street and he was by her side in a second. When she was stable in his arms he held a lock of her hair between his fingers inhaling deeply. “Your blood smells different.” He murmured. She had forgotten what it was like to be around people who could move so quickly. “Y/n, what have you been putting in your body?”
“Leave me alone.” She murmured, her head still fuzzy and numb from the sight of him. Was it a dream? No it couldn’t be. As she got over her shock, anger pooled in her gut.
“Are you high?” His eyes were confused and worried.
“If I am what would you do about it?” She smirked. “You have no right to critique my lifestyle.”
“Your lifestyle?” He asked somewhat incredulously, his eyes were slowly melting darker and darker. “Poisoning yourself with LSD is a lifestyle for you?”
“It’s a coping mechanism.” She spat suddenly. “To deal with the pain that you left me with.” That shut him up.
“I would’ve never left if I knew you would do this.” He grimaced. Wrong move.
“Stop!” She gasped suddenly, her arm snatching to her gut where she was sure the pain would brim over. She thought seeing him again would melt her troubles away, instead his presence seemed to intensify them. “Stop talking like you get a say in what I do! You lost that privileged the day you left! Left with nothing but a stupid note Carlisle!”
“I left to protect you. I didn’t want to cause you pain. Remember Victoria?” Was all he could say in response.
“Victoria...” Y/n spat. “What Victoria did to me pales in comparison to what you did. You’re the one whose hurt me the most Carlisle. Do you understand?”
She was still in shock at the sight of him. A million questions were racing through her head but none of them seemed as important now. Her shouting must have alerted someone’s presence because she heard movement near the apartment steps as someone walked up to them.
“Are you okay?” It was Mack but he seemed a million miles away now, unimportant.
“Are you her dealer?” Carlisle strode forward, his voice pure steel.
“Carlisle stop it!” She spat, jumping forward and pushing against his stony chest but it was like trying to move a mountain.
“Are you the one that did this to her?” Carlisle ignored her, still towering over Mack.
“You did this to me!” She suddenly exploded. Carlisle was past listening.
“If I ever see you near her again. I will break you myself, I promise.” His voice was calm meditated, as if every word had weight.
“What are you, her boyfriend?” Mack asked venomously. “Well then maybe I should let you in on a secret.”
“Mack shut up.” Y/n felt fear bubble into her throat. Sure she could swear in that moment she hated Carlisle but that’s all it was, a moment. There was no point in ruining her future.
“Your girlfriend ain’t too loyal.” Mack drawled out, a coy smirk slipping on his lips as he rocked back and forth on his toes. Carlisle tensed. “At least...she wasn’t last night.”
An animalistic snarl snapped from of Carlisle lips like a whip and within the second he had Mack pinned against the bonnet of a car. Then, just as quickly as he moved, he remembered himself. Letting Mack drop Carlisle’s breath heaved before he turned and stalked towards his car without sparing y/n so much as a glance. Always the pacifist.
“Carlisle.” She called, rushing after him but Mack caught her elbow.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were in a relationship?” He asked and if y/n wasn’t mistaken he sounded somewhat heartbroken, all his previous anger evaporating.
“I’m not.” Y/n gasped struggling to get out of his grip.
“You’re in something.” He murmured, letting her go.
“I’m sorry Mack, I really am. I’ll...call you.” The words were falling over her shoulder as she escaped, but he was already gone and distantly she could hear his Mercedes ripping into the night as he drove away.
***
“It’s not his fault.”
“I don’t need this right now Edward.” After jumping into her Bronco y/n had followed Carlisle’s black Mercedes back to his house. During the drive she couldn’t decide whether her anger was riling up or fizzing into the air and thus, nothingness. He had been so close, she had put her hands against his chest, he was right there.
“Please I just...” Edward’s eyes were tentative as he blocked her path on the house steps, “It’s my fault why we even left, all he was trying to do was be a good father to me.”
“And you think that’s and excuse?”
“No, of course not.” He added hurriedly. “It’s just, I love him, and I know he loves you. Please don’t walk away from him.”
“Walk away?” Y/n gasped, angry tears pricking behind her eyes. “I never wanted to walk away. I never even considered it. You were the ones who left and you took everything with you.” Tears spilled and she hurriedly wiped them away. Edward grimaced. Y/n took her opportunity and stormed past him into the house. To her surprise there stood Rosalie and Emmett; a few hours ago and she would have run into their arms laughing, overjoyed to see her friends again.
“Where is he?” Was all she spat and to her surprise they looked somewhat intimidated as they pointed loosely in the direction of the kitchen. She stormed past them and up the stairs swinging a right to find Carlisle waiting for her, leaning over the counter his head in his hands, he glanced at her.
“Y/n I-” He began.
“Shut up.” Was all she said. Distantly she was aware that Emmett and Rosalie had followed her along with Edward. At the far window she saw movement and assumed Jasper and Alice had come to see what the fuss is about. “You had your chance to talk the day you left but you chose not to, so, what you’re going to do is you’re going to sit in that chat, patiently, whilst I stand her and say what I got to say...understand?”
Carlisle stood now, an internal battle dancing behind his eyes as he glanced from y/n to his family. Y/n was aware of them staring now, watching the leader of their family, the alpha male be challenged, all tentative to see what he would do next. Slowly and with weight, Carlisle walked a few paces before he slid down into a chair, leaning forward and resting on his knees as he looked up at y/n through his lashes. This sent a tremor through the family and within the blink of an eye they were all gone, giving Carlisle and y/n their privacy.
“Carlisle...” Now she was here, she wasn’t quite sure what to say. “I am...sorry...about Mack and what we...” She trailed off, maybe it was not the best idea to start with this. “But you can’t judge me. You just can’t.”
“I know.” He whispered, his brows furrowing apologetically.
“All this...the drugs, Mack, everything, all of it’s just me trying to cope. And it’s not an excuse but-”
“Please don’t apologise.” Carlisle whispered and within the second he was standing in front of her cupping her cheeks in his hands and brushing his thumb under her right eye. “Never apologise.” He kissed her forehead. “You did nothing wrong.” He kissed her nose. It seemed like he went to go kiss her lips but he hovered, as if he remembered himself and he pulled back slightly, resting his forehead against hers.
“I’m sorry for the way I behaved. It was foolish and embarrassing of me.” He decided to say. “Back at the apartments. It’s just...”
“Just what?” Y/n murmured, now in a daze.
“I could smell it.”
“What?”
“Your scent...on him. On his neck, his shirt. Deep down I already knew what had happened but then hearing him...say it...and gloat.” His teeth gritted.
“If it’s any consolation, if I knew you were coming back I would have never-”
“But you didn’t know I was coming back. Because I left you here with nothing.” He was talking to himself now. “I...” He began. “I knew I was hurting you the day I left, the idea alone tormented me for months but I kept lying to myself, telling myself I would put you in more danger, more pain if I came back. But seeing the reality of what I had done to you, coming back to your blood smelling different and...” He trailed off.
“I know.” Y/n filled the silence, overwhelmed now at the feeling of him flushed against her body.
“I’ve got to hand it to Edward.” He chuckled to himself. “He’s more persuasive than he looks.” They stood like that for a moment, just comfortable at being able to be around one another again before y/n scrunched up her eyes.
“God, I've just been so caught up in being angry at you that I don’t think it’s really settled that you’re here. I feel like I’m going to wake up and this is just going to be a cruel dream.”
“I’m not going anywhere.” He cut her off gently, his eyes steely. “Not because I’m afraid of what you’ll do to yourself if I leave, not because you necessarily need me. But because...I don’t know how many chances I’m going to get to love someone like this.” He chuckled slightly. “And I mean, I have an eternity stretched out in front of me...but to love someone the way I love you...completely and utterly and with every piece of my heart and soul...”
His words fizzled into the air, the greater meaning behind them understood by them and only them.
“I’m sorry about Mack.” They were swaying slightly now, as if there were some soft unheard music. “He’s sweet...and he’s just lost...I guess I was for while.”
“As long as it was...consensual.” Surprisingly this made y/n laugh, a noise he had missed with his whole soul.
“Let’s not talk about it anymore.”
And they didn’t. From an outsiders perspective no one could have guessed anything was ever wrong between y/n and Carlisle. Just as before things gently shifted back into place, old routines were picked up and recent habits died out. Carlisle made good on his promise, he spent the rest of eternity doing everything in his power to make y/n happy, for that was all that mattered for him.
“To love someone the way I love you.” Became their phrase. Before long journeys apart, before what felt like impending doom when it came to Victoria, or the Voultri. He murmured it to her before she slept and shouted it after her car when she pulled away - an ode to their relationship, and all that they had been through. Y/n and Carlisle, the Dinosaur and the Vampire.

Alice Cullen x Plus size!reader
Word Count:1531 words
Warnings: none
Summary: Alice goes on a shopping trip and buys a dress for the reader, that isn’t exactly something she’s comfortable with.
——————————————————————————————————
It was no secret that Alice liked to shop.
She had always loved to go through all the racks, from the clearance to the high end brands, whether she was shopping for herself or someone else. Being with you gave her the perfect opportunity to do so, as much as she liked.
Surprising you with things had slowly become one of her favorite things to do, especially seeing as you were human and needed to sleep through the night. Since she didn't have to, Alice would just head out in the morning, right when her favorite boutiques opened.
It was perfect, because she could go on her shopping trips and be back before you even got out of bed. That way she didn't miss out on any time by your side, but she didn't have to give up her favorite pass time either.
For her, it was ideal.
For you, not so much.
Alice loved to push you out of your comfort zone. She insisted that it was all in an effort to get you to understand just how beautiful she knew you were. However, you had come to your own conclusion that she just couldn't help herself.
Still, with the frequency of her shopping trips at their high right now, you didn't think twice when you rolled over in bed to find her missing. In general, if she was home, she would just wait for you to wake up, reading or painting her toenails in an effort to pass the time.
It was a safe bet to assume that if she wasn't waiting by the foot of the bed for you to wake up, that she wasn't home.
In any case, she would be home before long so you just slipped on some socks and headed downstairs to get some breakfast. It was no use waiting around for her to get back when her fashion addiction could take hours to satiate.
"Alice went out to the shopping complex, she told me that she'd be back a little later" Edward informed you in passing, squashing any doubt that you may have had as to where she'd run off to. He was headed out, no doubt going to look for Bella, and didn't stop to talk.
Even still, you were glad for his help. At least you didn't have to worry about her taking an impromptu trip to Italy again and scaring you out of your mind. Every since then, she always made a point to make sure you knew where she was when she wasn't by your side.
You smiled at him in thanks, deciding to go watch a movie or two before she got back to kill some time. There would inevitably be a full fashion show of all the things she found on her outing when she got back and you didn't want to miss it.
...And a fashion show there was.
However, it wasn't of the variety that you'd come to be comfortable with and happy to witness. Alice came through the door with her arms full of different shopping bags, but dropped most of them at the front door.
She was vibrating with excitement, and it was over a single item that she couldn't wait to show you. It was all she'd been able to think about since she'd found it and every moment that you weren't wearing it seemed like a waste of time.
"Hello my love" she grinned, plopping down beside you on the couch, her legs folded under her in a way only she could be comfortable with. She had no idea how you were going to react to what she'd found but she could only hope for the best.
She wanted you to react as she had, with that bubbly excitement that she just couldn't keep to herself no matter how hard she tried. In fact, she'd nearly called you as soon as she found it just to share how excited she was.
Somehow she'd managed to refrain in a desperate attempt to keep it all a secret.
"I got you something while I was out. Would you like to see?" she hummed, though she was practically pulling the garment out before you even had a chance to answer. It was a wine colored dress, a beautiful one, but you weren't sure it would fit.
From the looks of it, the fabric didn't have much stretch to begin with and if you did manage to get it up over your hips and thighs, you doubted it would zip in the back. You had been shopping for clothes for quite some time and you knew how well things would fit your body.
Not that you had the stomach to tell Alice that.
For some reason, she just kept buying you clothes, even if she knew that you likely couldn't wear them and every time, you just couldn't tell her the truth. You couldn't tell her how much it hurt you to see all the beautiful clothes that she picked out and then finding out you were too big for them.
It was the worst but as happy as it made her, you just couldn't bring yourself to wipe that look off her face. As best you could do, you decided to just grin and bear it because it was easier than having to deal with the upset it would cause.
"It's beautiful Ally, but I don't think it will fit" you shrugged, doing your very best to try and stretch the fabric between your fingers. No matter what you did, it didn't seem like there was enough to stretch over your frame.
In fact, you were sure that there wasn't.
"Come on, I know that it will. Will you please just try it for me?" she begged, puffing out her bottom lip in a desperate attempt to convince you to do so, knowing fully that she didn't need to in order to get what she wanted.
All it would take was a small smile from her and you'd be all over it.
"Fine, but don't get upset if it doesn't work out" you decided, gently taking the dress from her hands and heading over to the guest bathroom. You wanted so badly for it to work out, knowing how happy it would make her.
You just weren't sure.
Though, you were even more not sure when you pulled the dress up and found that it did fit, but not in the way you expected. It was tight, very tight and you could see every little curve and roll that your body had to offer.
You hated it, obviously, but when the knocking came from outside the door that told you that Alice wanted to see it, you knew better than to try and hide it away from her. She would at least want to see it, even if you decided not to keep it.
"How does it look? Can I see?" she asked, over and over again until you finally opened the door. As soon as you did, she was all over you, gushing like a school girl. You looked so good, just like she knew you would.
You always looked good, you just couldn't help it.
"I love it. It's so pretty" she gasped, gently resting her hands on your hips, the fabric tight to your skin. You were clearly uncomfortable, as anyone would have been, but smiled nonetheless. Even if you didn't feel the most beautiful right now, you knew that Alice believed you did.
She made it very clear to you that she always did.
"You don't think it's too tight? You can see everything" you winced, looking down again at your frame. You could see exactly where your tummy rolled and it wasn't doing you any favors in hiding your arms either.
Needless to say, you weren't entirely happy with it but that was because you were focusing on all the wrong things. If you had just looked at yourself wearing it, you may have noticed that it was actually really cute, and fit you rather well, tightness aside.
"It's form fitting my love, it's supposed to be that way" she explained, gently running her fingers over the fabric to straighten out any wrinkles. It looked really good, but Alice also understood that if you were uncomfortable, she didn't want you to wear it.
"I can take it back if you don't like it, but I think it fits you really well. You look beautiful" she smiled, wrapping her arms around your waist to pull you closer to her than you had been before.
You knew what she was doing, trying to win your favor so you would try it, and against your better judgement, she was succeeding. You just couldn't say no to that beautiful face, even if you wanted to.
Who knows, maybe the dress wouldn't be all that bad? Alice seemed to think it looked nice and she wouldn't lead you astray. Giving it a try couldn't hurt anything, though it was new to you. At the end of the day, when you walked past the mirror, you had to admit that it did look good on you.

All that Matters
Tumblr media
Alice Cullen x Plus size!reader
Word Count: 1197 words
Warnings: none
Summary: Alice going a little bit overboard when planning your wedding, she gets stressed that it's not going to be perfect
——————————————————————————————————
You didn’t even technically ask Alice to marry you.
The two of you had been together for so long that it just became kind of an afterthought. Not to mention that said marriage would have been rather taboo until a few decades ago.
Still, you knew that when Edward and Bella decided to get hitched with both families involved, that was going to change.
Alice had always been a sucker for romance and that wasn’t a secret. However, even you didn’t realize quite how far that reached until that day.
She had this sparkle in her eyes from the moment she started the day, bustling all night with ideas and plans. She knew when everything was arriving, where it needed to go and why. There could be no stone left unturned where she was concerned.
Everything had to be perfect.
...and it was, of course.
The woman you loved blessed everything she touched, and it didn’t shock you that in taking over control of the wedding, it was marvelous.
What did shock you though was when she turned to you at the reception and asked why the two of you hadn’t done this yet.
“Why didn’t we ever have a wedding like this?” She’d asked, her hand holding yours tightly. You were only half listening to Bella’s mother’s speech, tuning it out completely when she spoke.
It was a fair question, all things considered. After all, after decades together, a wedding would be the logical next step. You just hadn’t thought about it, if you were being completely honest.
When you had been alive, really alive, a wedding would have never been an option for you.
“We’re gay Ally” you whispered back, a teasing smile on your lips. Even in the sixties, when you still had a beating heart, you never would have been able to have a wife.
At least, not legally.
It was a joke, of course, but the brunette scoffed lightly anyway. That wasn’t stopping either of you now, and that was what mattered.
Really, you were just shocked that Alice really wanted to get married. You knew that she loved you, but taking that additional step was something else entirely.
It made your stomach do flips, even all this time later.
“I’m being serious. I want to get married, with flowers and wedding cake, and all of this” she gushed, eyeing the beautiful decor that littered the backyard.
It looked incredible and she had a point. The two of you were clearly going to be together for quite some time but there was no reason not to have a wedding.
“Are you asking me to marry you right now, Ally?” you hummed, though you knew she meant it. In truth, you wanted to marry her just as much. All you had to do now was go through with it and that wasn’t going to take much time at all. That was one of the best things about being immortal.
You had nothing better to do than spend time together and throw parties, or at least, that’s what Emmett always said.
If Alice had it her way, your wedding would be the most elaborate, memorable event to ever go down in the Cullen family history.
...And Alice always got her way.
~
The two of you had only just agreed to get hitched a few weeks ago, with Bella and Edward now gone on their honeymoon. However, you wouldn’t have thought so with how much Alice had gotten done.
She had been incessantly planning for days, making phone calls to caterers and bakeries all over Forks.
Really, it would have surprised you if the entire thing wasn’t ready to go by the weekend. Still, you had to wait until Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen got back.
You didn’t really see the need to get it done so quickly, but you knew Alice well enough to know that she was just too excited to wait.
What you didn’t anticipate was the toll all the none stop planning and stress would take on poor Alice. For someone who didn’t need sleep, or any kind of rest, she needed a break.
The poor thing had been going nonstop for too long.
She plopped down on your shared mattress dramatically, using it as a crutch for her stress as you finished up your shower. Even by the time you came out into the room, she was still sitting there, face down in the sheets.
“What’s wrong, babydoll?” you hummed, gently brushing her hair to one side of her head, giving you just enough of a view of her face.
It was clear she’d overworked herself, and that she was under a lot of stress but you didn’t understand why she was doing that to herself.
Your wedding didn’t have to be some high stress event.
“I want it to be perfect, I want everything to be just like I always wanted but there’s just so much” she sighed, the explanation itself seeming to overwhelm her.
You couldn’t blame her.
Alice had done the same thing for your wedding as she’d done for Edward and Bella. She wanted to take care of every little detail so no one else had to worry.
What she had neglected to think of was the fact that she couldn’t enjoy her wedding if she didn’t let someone help her. She didn’t have to do it all on her own.
“Sweetheart, why didn’t you just tell me it was too much at once? I would love to help you” you offered, wishing if nothing else that you’d thought to suggest that sooner.
It wasn’t like you’d done nothing to contribute but she’d definitely taken the most of it.
“All that mattered is that we’re finally gonna get married. I’m sure the wedding will be perfect” you assured, after only earning a groan from the smaller woman.
She didn’t sound convinced in the slightest.
From where she was sitting, you two were only going to be able to have 1 wedding in all your lives and she needed it to be wonderful.
All those beautiful things she’d fallen in love with while planning for Bella had to come together for your own wedding too. She had to make it happen.
...But no one said she had to make it happen alone.
You were her partner, and you loved her more than anything else in all the world. To you, that seemed like the most important thing.
“Come on, trust me. We could get married in a diner and I’d be just as happy as ever. I promise it’s going to be everything you’ve ever wanted-”
“I’ll make sure of it” you assured, finally coming face to face with her as she sat up, giving you a tired smile.
It wasn’t shocking to you that she gave so much of herself all the time, as she always did. However, it was about time she learned that she wasn’t alone in this.
As long as you were by her side, she’d never have to do anything alone. That was the deal, and had been since you met.
As long as you were together, nothing else mattered to you.

Apple Pie

13 Days of Halloween 2021
Alice Cullen x Plus size!reader
Word Count: 2517 words
Warnings: none
Summary: Alice’s human partner loves fall, and insists on autumn baking, even though she lives in a house full of vampires.
—————————————————————————————————
Alice knew how much you loved this time of year.
It would have been impossible not to.
You had been buzzing around, figuring out all the things you wanted to do this season since mid-september, and for the most part, she just tagged along.
She liked to watch you have the time of your life and as long as you were happy, she was happy.
Still, there were a few passions of yours that she couldn’t partake in, no matter how much she wanted to. There were just some issues that came with dating a vampire that you couldn’t get around.
It was just the way it was, but you weren’t about to stop doing the things you loved because of it and luckily, Alice didn’t expect you to.
Whenever she couldn’t participate, she joined in as often as she could however possible.
It might not have been perfect, but it worked for you.
Like this morning, for example. Alice had gone out while you were sleeping as soon as the stores opened to gather as many baking supplies as she could, knowing that you’d planned to spend the whole day in the kitchen.
Of course, she didn’t eat in the traditional sense so it wasn’t really essential for you to do so but the woman you loved knew how much you loved to bake.
….and there was no way she was going to expect you to stop just because you’d moved in with her family.
You all had passions and just because yours was one that didn’t necessarily benefit the others right now, that didn’t mean it wasn’t worth something to let you enjoy it.
Besides, if she ever got around to changing you like you two had been talking about, you wouldn’t be able to do this nearly as often as you could now as a human.
It was worth plenty just to let you experience it.
Not to mention that Alice liked to watch you bake.
There was something so peaceful about it, and it made her nostalgic to remember the days when she would do the same. Because of that, she felt that she arguably got more out of watching it than you did actually baking.
It just made her happy and as long as you wanted to do it, she was going to make sure that you could.
“Ally? Where are you?” you called, your voice still groggy with sleep as you descended the staircase.
You had just gotten up out of bed, but Alice wasn’t by your side like she normally was when you opened your eyes.
You couldn’t even remember the last time that had happened.
After all, vampires didn’t sleep so you knew she wasn’t there the entire night but no matter what she did while you were resting, you couldn’t think of a morning you’d rolled over to find her missing from your shared bed.
Naturally, it weirded you out a little.
Though, you didn’t panic outright at first either. Just because it was out of character for her didn’t automatically mean you had slept through something awful happening to them.
“In the kitchen” she called, only momentarily considering that she should stay silent to avoid spoiling the surprise before deciding against it.
The surprise was going to be good, no matter how you found it.
All that mattered was that you loved it, and as long as she got to see the look on your face once you realized what she’d done, she would be content.
The brunette listened to your shuffling footsteps as you made your way across the wood floor toward the kitchen, giving away just how tired you still were.
She hadn’t been out long, but it was nice to know you hadn’t been up long without her.
Alice hated missing out on time with you.
“What are you doing in the kitchen?” you grumbled, turning the corner without a second thought, rubbing your eyes in an attempt to get used to the sunlight streaming in through the various windows.
While the decked out kitchen was nice now that you and Bella spent a lot of time here, it didn’t have much use for the Cullen’s themselves, and Alice certainly didn’t use it for anything.
Rather than answering you, Alice made her way over to you so that she could put her hands over your eyes, that damn vampire speed putting her behind your back before you could so much as blink.
Which, naturally, only confused you further.
“Alice, what is going on?” you groaned, wishing that for once she could just keep the theatrics to a minimum, at least this early in the morning.
You had been worried something happened to her, and now, she was messing around without answering any of your questions.
“Just trust me” she whispered, leading you deeper into the room after she decided she was content that you'd’ keep your eyes closed.
Her touch was featherlight on your wrist as she walked with you, a small skip in her step that gave away how excited she was.
…and how could she not be?
She knew how thrilled you’d be over this.
“Alright, stand right there” she allowed, letting go of your hand once she’d set it down on the stone island, rounding it herself to give everyone a final onceover, just to make sure that it was exactly where she wanted it.
Of course, she didn’t have to second guess herself but she always did anyway.
Where you were concerned, she always wanted everything to be as picture perfect as it possibly could be.
Especially when it was things like this.
Thankfully, her final onceover proved to be unnecessary today too because it looked good.
All the ingredients she’d purchased were laid out in their respectful piles, compiled entirely based on the old recipe book Esme kept from the 20s for sentimental value.
It was going to be great.
“Okay, open your eyes” Alice hummed, and you could practically hear the huge grin in her voice, that you saw as soon as you did as she asked.
She was stunning, like she always was, but for a moment, you forgot that you were supposed to be looking at anything else other than her.
You couldn’t help yourself sometimes.
Though, when you finally did snap out of it and look down at the huge spread she’d laid out for you, you found yourself confused for a whole different reason.
As best you could tell, she had every possible ingredient from the grocery store here, but the why was still lost on you.
You didn’t remember asking her for anything like this, though, it was entirely possible you’d talked in your sleep again and she just went with it.
She had a bad habit of trying to interpret your late night mumblings.
Not that she had much else to do at night aside from watching old romance movies and online shopping anyway.
“What is all this, Al?” you eventually gave in, finding yourself at a loss for any possible reason she could have done this.
Of course, what she’d done had a lot of potential, but you still didn’t know what brought it on.
“I know how much you like to bake this time of year, so I got you some things so we could have  a baking day” she cooed, handing you Esme’s big book, now more of a antique than an actual kitchen staple, so that you could see all the pages she’d marked with a purple sticky note.
Clearly, she’d put a lot of work into this and the more you flipped through the pages she’d picked out for you, the more excited you got.
This was amazing.
“You are the sweetest, you know that?” you hummed, setting the book down, open to a page filled to the brim with everything you needed to know in order to make the perfect apple pie, to wrap your arms around the woman you loved.
Her small frame was easily enveloped in your own as you held her close, breathing in her warm vanilla scent.
It was the one she chose during this time of year, before transitioning into a peppermint in the winter.
You loved it, almost as much as you loved her.
“You like it?” she gushed, hoping that you would be glad she’d done something like this.
It was only now occurring to her that volunteering you for so much work in the kitchen might not be a good thing.
“Of course I do” you assured, finding it funny she would even ask.
You had just told Alice a few months prior about how much you’d loved to bake as a child, always surprising your family and friends with treats whenever you could.
Which made this whole thing make a lot more sense, and a lot more impressive.
She had gone through this whole big book looking for recipes she thought you would like, then went to the store and bought everything you would need, even though she hadn’t personally baked in several decades.
Just when you thought you couldn’t have loved her any more than you already did.
“So, should we get started?” she asked, lifting herself up to sit on the counter in front of you, taking the book.
At least to start, she figured being in charge of the book was the best position for her.
You had all the baking experience, after all.
“What do you want to make first? Apple Pie? Hot cider? Cookies? I got everything” she continued, watching as you put on the apron she’d bought you a while back.
She bought a lot of kitchen stuff when you moved in.
It wasn’t like they had much to begin with.
“I think apple pie is the best to start” you decided, that was the one that had a lot of steps she could help with, not to mention how good it would make the house smell.
It was a classic, just like her.
...and by the time you’d finished, it was perfect just like her too.
“Now, we put it in the oven” you allowed, handing the full pie pan over to the woman you loved so that she could do as you said, while you busied yourself starting with the clean up.
Of course, you and Alice had made quite the mess with all the baking you’d done just now, because a pie from scratch was a tall order but as exhausted as you were, it was worth it.
After all, now you had a yummy pie and you could sit on the couch with the woman you loved, all curled up in blankets all evening with it smelling like warm cinnamon.
“So, did I do okay?” Alice asked, taking the filling bowl from you and placing it in the sink, making a mental note to remember to clean it up before Esme got home from work.
Even though she didn’t use it, there was nothing she hated more than a messy kitchen.
“Absolutely, this was so sweet, Ally” you gushed, a wicked idea popping into your head as the words left your lips, and your hand settled on the little bit of flour that was spread out over the counter.
You had used it to roll out the pie dough, but now, it was looking more and more appealing for something different.
“Even if now we have to clean up our mess” you whispered, swiping your finger into the waiting powder before tapping Alice on the shoulder with your other hand, a wicked grin on your face as you waited.
Of course you had a silly little plan like this. You couldn’t help yourself, not when it was right there in front of you.
Before she could say anything or even ask what you were doing, you tapped the woman you loved more than anything on the nose, leaving a bit of powdery residue behind.
“I probably should have seen that coming” she teased, wiping it away before tapping you in turn, moving so quickly that you barely had time to react.
All you could do was laugh, figuring you had that coming, but both of you seemed to know this wasn’t even close to over.
It was just you and Alice in the kitchen with a whole lot of flour and a whole lot of free time.
There was really only one way for this to go.
~
“What are you two doing?” Esme asked, entering the house to find the biggest mess she’d seen in a while.
She had come home earlier than expected, of course, but that wouldn’t have really made much of a difference anyway.
Both you and Alice were covered in flour, laughing and giggling. It was hardly what she’d been expecting when she walked in the front door but at least it looked like you’d had a good time today.
“We made some apple pie” you shrugged, wiping away what you could of the flour from your face in an attempt to limit the damage but it was no use.
You and Alice would have to take three showers to get this all off.
“Did the pie survive?” she joked, setting down her bags and not even bothering to worry about the mess as much as she usually would.
If Emmett had made a mess like that, perhaps she would have made a bigger stink but she knew you two would get it figured out. If there was one person she could rely on to keep this place clean, it was Alice.
“I think so, it smells good doesn’t it?” Alice grinned, taking a napkin and wiping what was left on your face before you took it from her and did the same for her.
Which, as you’d already guessed, didn’t really make a difference.
Though, neither of you seemed too bothered by that.
“Of course, it smells wonderful” Esme agreed, a small smile on her face as she passed the two of you on her way upstairs.
You two were so cute, and it never ceased to amaze her just how much, no matter how often she saw it.
She and Carlisle were thrilled when she first brought you here to meet them, and even more so when you moved in with their little family.
Seeing how close you two were and how much you loved one another always warmed her heart.
“Now we should go get cleaned up and then we can watch a movie and you can have some pie” Alice grinned, just glad that you two’d had a good time today.
After all, she wasn’t entirely sure how it would go when she went out at five in the morning to go searching for all this stuff, but it had gone really well.
You were just as surprised as she’d hoped, not that there was any other option.
Alice knew you so well that it would have been harder for her to come up with something that you couldn’t like to do.
“Sounds like a plan, my love”

A Toast
Tumblr media
Emmett Cullen x Plus size!reader
Word Count: 2350 words
Warnings: none
Summary: Emmett orchestrating a whole thing (with help, of course) so that he can propose to you
—————————————————————————————————
Alice had always had a gift.
She was very initiative and she cared greatly for the people she loved, often obsessing over making sure that they were as happy as they could be.
It could be a bit much sometimes, but everyone allowed it because they knew just how big her heart was, and that her excitement was coming from a place of love.
Still, considering everything, Emmett should have known better.
When he asked for help proposing to you, he hadn’t been expecting her to go quite as far as she did. Nevertheless, he was standing in a suit, overlooking one of the biggest meals he’d ever seen in his life.
It was definitely overkill.
“She’s going to know something’s up” he warned, just imagining the look on your face when you saw all this.
Even for an Alice party, this was extreme.
There were candles lining the railing along the back porch and floral centerpieces in the middle of the table. It couldn’t have been more obvious that this wasn’t just a dinner party between their family.
Something special was happening, and you would take notice immediately, he knew it.
Not that the woman in question batted an eye at his worries.
It was perfect, and you were going to love it.
“How many times do I have to tell you? Tonight is going to be perfect” Alice assured, not paying Emmett any mind as she set out their nicest dining sets, the china clattering lightly as she set it down.
She’d see it, and by the end of the night, she was confident that her brother would be thanking her for all this work.
It was everything an engagement should be, she had made sure of that.
“If you say so” Emmett sighed finally, deciding to trust her against his better judgment. If nothing else, this beat his idea of proposing to you at the top of a roller-coaster, just before it dropped.
Besides, now that he was going to pick you up, there wasn’t much that he could change.
He just had to hope tonight went as well as Alice thought it would.
Emmett’s only job now was to keep his cool, which shouldn’t be impossible. There was no reason you would suspect anything right off the bat anyway.
While it was a little odd, it didn’t surprise you that Alice was throwing another party.
The Cullen’s lived extravagantly, and while that meant different things for every member of the family, for her, it meant near constant dinner parties and always looking for an excuse to throw them.
It may not have been everyone's idea of a good time, but no one had the heart to tell her no. It wasn’t like they really had a reason to reign her in, especially this time.
If Alice wanted to have a party, there would be a party.
What you didn’t expect was for her to require everyone to dress in black tie, something you didn’t have much experience in.
Especially not for dinner at  your vampire boyfriend's house.
So, you guessed and put together the best possible outfit you could given what was in your closet, and considering what it could have been, it wasn’t the worst.
At least, that was what you thought until you opened your door to find Emmett standing there in a full tuxedo, with a goofy grin on his face and a small bouquet of hand picked flowers at his side.
You definitely didn’t have anything that was quite that glamorous.
“Oh wow, a suit?” you hummed, admiring just how put together and fancy he looked for a moment. Never in your life had you imagined what Emmett would look like in an outfit like that.
Most of the time, it was sweatshirts and baggy shorts, and sometimes you forgot how much things like that could change.
Not that you minded.
It was a nice surprise to see him all dressed up for once.
“Yeah, it was Alice’s idea” he allowed, a soft shrug telling you that the man you loved had no real say in the matter, which almost made it more endearing.
Everyone was playing along for her themed dinner party, and it would be a lie to say that you weren’t at least a little excited. Even if it hadn’t been your idea, it definitely was a good time once you got into it.
It just took a little time to get used to how committed to this stuff she was.
“Well, now I feel like I’m underdressed,” you sighed, looking down at the dress you’d chosen. It wasn’t ill fitting or frumpy by any means but it wasn’t a gown or anything either.
At this point, it might be more fitting if you put on the dress you wore to prom.
“You look great, don’t worry” Emmett assured, taking your hand in his own and leading you out of the house before you could even consider going back up to change.
Tonight was about you and just because you didn’t know that yet wasn’t an excuse to let you feel bad about yourself.
You were perfect, no matter what you wore.
“I’m pretty sure you said that last time we had this conversation” you countered, recalling that afternoon you spent with him at the house, wearing one of his now vintage hoodies and a pair of basketball shorts.
There wasn’t a speck of makeup in sight and you didn’t bother to do your hair, and still, he insisted you were stunning. Though, you always argued that he was too biased to be able to make that claim.
“And I was right then too” Emmett grinned, helping you up into the passenger side of his truck before climbing in on his own, the cab rocking a bit as he settled in for the night ahead.
One thing was for sure.
Nothing was going to be the same after tonight.
~
The house was decked out to the nines, more than you’d ever seen it and you were impressed.
Alice had really outdone herself this time.
“This is beautiful” you commented, more for yourself than anything else, though it definitely made Emmett feel better to know that you did like it.
Not that he could guarantee you'd feel the same once you found out it was all for you.
“Wait until you see the food” he prepared you, knowing that since you were the only one who actually ate out of the entire brood, it was definitely going to knock you off of your feet.
It was a lot, but you deserved it.
As nervous as he was for tonight, he had to make it special. After all, this was the only proposal he was ever going to get and he wanted to make it count.
You did as he said, curiosity getting the best of you. In all the time you’d known the Cullen’s, you’d learned not to expect anything because they always went above and beyond for everything.
No occasion was too small, or too minimal, especially not after Alice got her hands on it. Even a simple birthday would become the biggest bash she’d ever thrown, just because she could.
…and whatever had gotten into her today, it was even bigger than a birthday.
That much you could tell.
In any case, before long, you found yourself sitting in front of a huge plate of every delicacy you could imagine, all piled high just for you.
It had been so long since any of them ate a real meal, sometimes you wondered if they forgot just how much food could fit into a human stomach before it threatened to burst at the seams.
“This is great, it really is, but what is this about? Is it some kind of holiday?” you asked, finally coming to the conclusion that this must have been in celebration of some kind of vampire holiday you weren’t aware of.
As far as you knew, it wasn’t but it was always possible it had slipped your mind.
With so many laws and rules, it would have been impossible for you to keep up with everything that they had going on in that world.
“Not quite, my dear. Emmett, would you like to take the floor?” Carlisle started, figuring they had put you through more than enough suspense, while knowing perfectly well that his son would avoid this forever if he could.
As much as he loved you, the idea of this whole thing going south had a hold on him that he couldn’t have been prepared for if he tried.
It was a feeling Carlisle had felt himself, all those years ago, and the same feeling everyone felt when contemplating asking such a question.
“Yeah, sure” the other man sighed, giving your hand a gentle squeeze before standing, resting his weight against the railing opposite the table, facing both you and his entire family.
He could do this.
Carlisle was married, Edward was married, there was no reason he couldn’t be married.
“Umm, I’d like to propose a toast” Emmett spoke, an odd energy surrounding him that you’d never seen in your life.
He almost seemed nervous, and you couldn’t place why.
In all the time you’d known Emmett, he’d never once faltered in what he believed or who he wanted to be. He may have been a bit of a dork sometimes and it was no secret that he had a quick temper, but he was who he was.
One hundred percent.
You just weren’t aware that there was any part of him that was capable of being nervous or anxious at all.
Until now.
You smiled at him gently when he caught your eye, trying to be as reassuring as you knew how to be given the strange circumstances, hoping that would help.
In all honesty, you were just confused, finding yourself looking around you at the rest of his family, just trying to get some clue as to if they’d caught on to it. Of course, no one looked at you.
They were all too poised on the scene in front of them, waiting for this moment in silent anticipation with the exception of Alice.
The cheery brunette sat at the far end of the deck  with Jasper, a grin so large on her lips that you almost feared it would tear her face in half.
Still, that wasn’t enough to clue you in to what was happening.
You had no idea.
“You all know the bombshell I’ve been calling my girlfriend,” he started, pointing you out in a way that was almost amusing, or at least, it would have been if you weren’t completely in the dark.
It was becoming more and more obvious that something was going on but for the life of you, you couldn’t figure out what it was.
Not that you had to wonder very long.
Emmett has been waiting to do this since he first met you and it was no secret that patience wasn’t one of his strong suits. He just wanted to ask you what he wanted to ask you and call you his already.
As great as it was to have a girlfriend, he was more than ready to call you something else now.
“She puts up with me no matter what stupid stuff I drag her into and she’s quite literally the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my life. This one’s for you baby!” He grinned, earning a cheer from his surrounding family.
Family that was just waiting for Emmett to get to the best part of this whole thing.
Timidly, you took a sip from your glass, trying not to make direct eye contact with anyone or anything, feeling that familiar feeling in the pit of your stomach that he always made you feel.
You just loved him so much, and as awkward as it was for him to announce that to his entire family, you would have been daft to pretend that they didn’t already know.
He only talked about you every hour of the day, more so when you weren’t around.
If nothing else, marrying you would give them some solace from his constant worrying and obsessing over you.
Naturally, you expected that to be all. You figured he’d taken the opportunity to make a romantic gesture and that he’d return to his seat beside you but he didn’t move.
Instead, Emmett continued standing there, looking at you as if you’d personally hung the moon and stars above his head with that smile on his face.
“There’s one more thing, and it’s kind of important” he hummed, closing the distance between the two of you slowly until he was standing at your side again, the entire Cullen clan looking on happily.
In their family, marriage was such a personal thing and something that bound you not only to your partner but to their entire family.
It was only right they shared this with Emmett and with you.
“What is going on?” you asked him, in as quiet a tone as you could manage, not that whispering accomplished much in a room full of vampires.
Now, you were starting to feel like everyone knew what was going on except you, and you were worried.
Knowing Emmett, he could have been leading up to anything.
In response, the male only winked, mouthing gingerly for you to trust him before finally dropping down to one knee in front of you.
Oh.
That was what this was.
You didn’t know what to say at first, trying to comprehend this whole thing through the lens of a proposal, all the while Emmett was in the middle of proposing to you.
“What do you think? You wanna be my wife?” he decided, finding the words ‘will you marry me’ too formal for his mouth.
It wasn’t who he was and considering you loved him exactly as he was, you didn’t mind.
In fact, you were glad because you did want to be his wife, for as long as he would have you.

“Renesmee,” Bella calls, standing beside you. Your ruby eyes watch as a beautiful young girl skips over to you. She stops in front of you looking a little shy. “This is Y/n, she’s your aunt,” Bella explains as you kneel in front of her.
“Hi, pretty girl,” Renesmee grins bashfully. You watch her curiously as she raises her hand to you. You don’t move and she touches your cheek. You watch her as vivid images flash through your mind. “Remarkable,” You whisper as she withdraws.
Renesmee stares at your curiously. You wink at her and hold her hand up between the two of you. Renesmee watches as your hand passes through hers as if you were a ghost.
When you were done demonstrating your ability, Renesmee races off. You stand, smiling after her. You then turn toward your new sister and size her up.
“So, you’re Bella,” You hum. “Rose has told me all about you,” Bella gives you a tight, slightly awkward smile. “I’m sorry I couldn’t make the wedding, I was busy at the time,”
“It’s no problem,” Bella assures. “So, you’re a.. Cullen?” She asks. You nod.
“I don’t value human life like our family,” You tell her. “I left to go on my own when they moved here. I’m not exactly welcome in Forks after Carlisle struck that treaty with the mutts,” You explain.
“So, what do you do?” Bella asks, walking into the house with you.
“I see the world, I hunt, and cause a little mischief on the side,” You smirk.
“Still giving the Volturi a run for their money, little sis?” Emmett asks, stalking right up to you.
“They can’t catch me, no matter how hard they try,” You smirk, walking right into his bear hug. Emmett hugs you tightly and spins you around. “I must say, it is entertaining to see Felix just go right through me every time they manage to find me. He’s just adorable when he’s angry,” You joke.
“You’ve gone up against Felix?” Bella asks, doubtfully.
“I’ve gone through all the Volturi. Jane can use her ability on me all she wants but even while in pain, they can’t grab me. I can walk through Alec’s mist without being effected. At this point, they’re just trying to catch me to recover their pride. They don’t really care about me joining them,” You shrug.
“And they’re never going to get you because you belong with us not them,” Rose says, hugging you when Emmett moves out of the way.
“And they won’t get Renesmee,” You promise Bella. “She’s going to be alright,” Bella smiles nodding.
A few days later you find yourself standing with your family and their witnesses. You stand with Emmett and Rose as the entire Volturi enter the clearing. Rose leans into Emmett more while you stand just to the right of them.
Your eyes scan down the Volturi as Aro and Carlisle exchange words. You hardly pay attention as your eyes lock with another pair of ruby’s. He’s tall, pale and blonde. Very attractive.
‘You’re more so, beautiful,’ A voice in your head compliments. Your eyebrows pinch together slightly as your head tilts. ‘I’m Riley,’ He introduces himself.
‘Y/N,’ You tell him after a few uncertain moments.
‘Beautiful,’ His voice goes through your mind in a whisper. ‘So, doing anything after this?’ Your eyebrows raise.
‘We’re moments away from possibly killing each other and you want to know my plans for later?’
‘Well, how else am I gonna know if you’re free for a date?’ He asks, a smirk on his lips. A smirk appears on yours as well.
‘Well, if you must know, after this I plan on having a victory celebration with my family. More than welcome to join and celebrate your defeat,’
‘That confident, are you?’
‘This isn’t my first run-in with your coven. You may believe you’re all powerful but this won’t be a fight you’ll win.’ You promise him.
‘Well, as long as I see you later then it’ll be a victory for me,’
‘And why exactly do you want to spend later with me?’
‘I can’t imagine spending my time doing anything else... You’re truly more beautiful than anyone I’ve ever seen. I’m not about to let you go,’
‘And if I’m already spoken for?’
‘Then I’ll fight for your hand,’ Riley says without missing a beat. You would have blushed if you could. Riley’s smirk grows. You don’t know if you want to smack it off his face or kiss him. ‘Can I choose?’ He asks, reading your mind. ‘I’d much rather have a kiss from a princess like you,’
For a moment, you’re insecurities push forward. While you had the vampiric allure, compared to other vampires you feel rather bland. Especially standing a few feet from Rose. You’ve spent centuries being curvier than other vampires. You hated the fact that you were stuck like this. It wasn’t like you could change your diet or exercise more to change how you look. You were stuck like this. Forever on the heavier side.
‘If you’ll allow me, I’d worship every curve on your body’ Riley growls through your mind. You break the eye contact thus unknowingly severing the mental connection between you and him.
“Let her go!” Carlisle shouts, running toward the Volturi. Your eyes widen as your father figure fight to get to Alice... Only to be decapitated by Aro himself.
His death strikes everyone on your side of the field. This time, nobody is holding back. Everyone races forward. You desperately avoid Riley but find yourself praying to... whoever that he’ll make it out of this alive.
“Feeling lucky, big guy?” You ask, coming across Felix. He smirks and races towards you. You dance around him, ghosting through him when he manages to get a hand on you. You smirk the more he becomes frustrated. “Don’t you learn?” You wonder, right before your ability just stops working. The glitch is enough for Felix to wrap his arm around you.
“Meet Sebastian,” Felix smirks. “Abilities tend to malfunction around him,” As he talks, his arm tightens around your throat. You struggle against him. You swing your arm around, wrestling him to the ground until Demetri appears. He grabs your arm and forces it out.
They don’t rip you apart right away, they take their time. After decades of taunting and evading them, they wanted a satisfying death. You whimper feeling you body begin to crack under the pressure when suddenly your ability comes back in full force.
You ghost through the two guard members. Your body collapses to the ground, slowly healing the wounds. Your eyes move to the side, watching as Riley dismembers Sebastian before attempting to fight off Felix and Demetri.
Forcing yourself to a stand, you tackle Felix away from Riley. The two of you flash around each other while Riley deals with Demetri. Eventually, Emmett appears and helps you finish Felix off. He had seen your situation from afar and tried to get to you earlier but kept running into other guards.
Emmett tosses Felix into a fire as you spin around to look at Riley and Demetri. The two were evenly matched until you got involved. You grabbed one arm while he took the other. In synch, you tore Demetri apart and tossed him to the fires.
“Well, looks like you’ll be getting your victory after all,” Riley tells you, surveying the battle field. You suppress a shiver as you hear his voice for the first time. You quickly hold your arm out preventing Emmett from attacking Riley.
“Not him,” You say, keeping your eyes on the blond. Emmett glances at you and then Riley. He gives Riley a harsh glare before moving on.
“So, how about that date after this?” Riley asks, arching his eyebrows.
“I won’t go with the Volturi,” You tell him. Riley stares into your eyes before nodding.
“Well, then, looks like I’ll be going with you,” He says taking off the Volturi medallion. You tilt your head trying to figure him out. “How about we get out of here and you can figure out how my head ticks while I figure out if you taste as good as you look?”

“Are you having a good time, beautiful?” Riley whispers, holding you close to his chest. Your head nestles into his shoulder. Soft music is playing in the background giving the pair of you a gentle tempo to sway too.
Your head buzzes and your body feels like it’s floating. It feels as if Riley is the only one keeping you tethered to Earth.
Today had been the perfect day. You had been accepted into your dream school. Alice had foreseen it, of course, and already had the party planned by the time you opened the acceptance envelope (or email depending on how your school does things). You didn’t have many human friends, therefore, you just celebrated with your family and boyfriend.
Carlisle and Esme had been there in the beginning before leaving a few hours later in order to give the party an unsupervised feeling. Edward and Bella left a while after them to attend to Renesmee. You don’t exactly remember Alice and Jasper leaving, they just kind of disappeared at some point. A couple of minutes ago Rose and Emmett left leaving you with Riley.
“Will you come with me?” You ask, lifting your head from his shoulder. Your school wasn’t exactly within driving distance of Forks, Washington. You’ve lived with the Cullens all your life and despite the fact that moving away would be nerve-racking, you didn’t want to do it without Riley.
“Sweetheart, you couldn’t get rid of me if you tried,” Riley smirks, holding you even tighter to his chest. “You honestly thought I’d let you go to school and have those boys looking at you thinking they have a chance?” He tilts his head. His hands slide down from your hips to around the backside of your thighs.
You gasp, your arms wrapping around his neck as he picks you from the ground. He smirks at the flutter in your heartbeat and begins to carry you toward the bedroom. He doesn’t speed you there, he takes his time. He keeps his eyes connected with yours the whole way loving how shy yet turned on you were acting.
Your teeth nibble at your bottom lip while you struggle to keep eye contact. You hold Riley tighter. There wasn’t much space between the two of you but you wanted to be closer.
“I’m so proud of you, baby girl,” Riley whispers, gently laying you on the bed. You and Riley enjoyed mixing things up in the bedroom. Some days it would be quick and heavy or slow yet intense. Tonight felt like a more gentle and loving night. Riley wanted to worship and praise you because he truly is very proud and happy to have such a beautiful and smart mate.
His hands glide over your body, removing pieces of clothing. Every time a new patch of bare skin was shown, Riley peppered the area with light kisses and sweet love bites.
By the time you were completely bare to him, you had grown tired of just laying there. You pushed Riley onto his back and straddled his hips. A second later, your lips were meeting his. Riley smirks through the kiss as your hands sloppily try to unbutton his shirt.
After a couple of giggles and another long kiss you finally finish taking off his shirt. He flips you onto your back and finishes undressing himself. You grin watching him hungrily. He puts on a little show for you causing your smile to widen.
“Come here, handsome, and give me a kiss,” Riley appears in front of you within a second, his lips reclaiming yours before your mind can catch up.
“My beautiful, smart girl,” Riley whispers, kissing along your neck. You release a shaky breath as his hand grazes the inside of your thigh. You whimper when his fingers brush your pussy lips teasingly.
“Riley,” You whine impatiently. He smirks against your collarbone and presses a gentle kiss on your skin. You breathe in sharply as he pushes two finger inside you, instantly going to massage the roof of your cunt.
“I won’t make you beg tonight, pretty girl. No matter how sexy you look while doing it,” Riley flirts. Your eyes glance down wanting to watch him. He kisses and nips at your stomach. Your cheeks blush as a few insecure thoughts cross your mind when the hand that isn’t buried in your pussy traces the curves along your sides.
The thoughts don’t last. It isn’t because your insecurities were washed away it was simply because you began to loose the ability to think. Riley had this ability to just captivate everything about you.
When he pushed into it, it felt like the first time he had done so. He stretched you to the brim. Your mouth drops and your back arches. His pace is slow but merciless. You claw at his back desperate to eliminate the space between you.
“My beautiful mate,” He whispers in your ear, picking up the pace.
His name falls from your lips like a desperate prayer. A desperate dirty prayer. He does everything he knows will bring you close but not over the edge. He tweaks your nipples, rubs your clit, and holds your throat just enough for you to become a little light headed.
When he’s done playing with you, his hips shift just enough to hit a special spot. You cry out as you feel the dam begin to break. Like a snap, you entire body convulses. He continues to go in and out of you, drawing out your orgasm before picking up the pace once more to chase his own release.
By the time he’s cumming inside of you, your pussy is clenching around his cock as your second orgasm hits you. You wince and whimper when he pulls out of your sensitive cunt. He whispers soft praises and cleans you up.
“I love you,” Riley whispers. “And I’m so proud,”

Edward Cullen x Plus size!reader
Word Count: 1432 words
Warnings: none
Summary: Spending the night with Edward, and having breakfast with his family in the morning
——————————————————————————————————
Having you over to the Cullen household sounded sacrilegious to Edward, a man who had yet to move past the social graces of the early twentieth century.
Still, when you showed up, drenched to the bone from the rain, he wasn’t going to turn you away. As soon as you entered the house, Edward knew about it.
He couldn’t help it. Ever since you and Edward met, he was fine tuned to you, in all senses and with you this close, it was only a matter of moments before you showed up.
He could hear your thoughts as you raced up the hill, holding your jacket over your head to shield from the rain. It wasn’t working out very well, from the sounds of it.
In any case though, Edward made his way down the stairs, reaching the first floor just in time to find Esme opening the door for you.
It must have been raining harder than he initially thought. You were soaked.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, not all together hostile, though it could have come across that to a stranger looking in. If anything though, he was only upset you wouldn’t have called him for a ride.
You didn’t even call before coming over here, and anything could have happened to you since leaving your house. Perhaps it was a bit of an overreaction but he couldn’t help it.
He knew what was out there.
You smiled at Esme in thanks as she took your wet jacket from your shoulders, before leaving to hang it up. Once she’d gone, you turned your attention to Edward, still standing there just as he’d been before.
“I wanted to come see if you wanted to catch a movie, but then my car broke down and I didn’t have cell reception up here so I had to walk” you shrugged, looking back on the last few hours of hell casually now.
From where you were standing, safely in the Cullen house, it was easy to just put it all behind you. Though, when you had been out there in the dense woods, all alone, you weren’t nearly as calm.
“Come on. You have to get changed, we can worry about your car in the morning” Edward urged then, not wanting to risk you catching something in those wet clothes.
...And you weren’t going to pass up that offer.
You took a hot shower, gave Edward your wet clothes to be dried, and then ended up just putting one of Emmett’s huge hoodies. It swallowed your frame in the most wonderful way, even at your size and it was beyond comfortable.
Something that you made sure to inform Edward of when you plopped down in his bed, disturbing the way it had been perfectly made.
He didn’t use it, but that didn’t mean it had to stay that way forever. After all, you had just walked several miles through the forest, and you weren’t going to stand all night.
The male stood there in the doorway for a moment, just surveying the sight of you laying there in his bed, and tried to keep himself calm.
To Edward, it felt like a breech of your privacy, or some affront to your honor and he didn’t want to overstep. Really, you wondered if he would have left entirely if you didn’t stop him.
“What’s wrong? Is it cause I messed up the bed? I’m sorry-” you started, only to have him stop you before you could get up. If he thought having you in the house was an offense, having you in his bedroom was something else entirely.
If he had a soul, perhaps it would have been damned for even thinking about you in the way he was. In any case though, he didn’t so there was nothing to worry about.
“It’s okay, you stay. Perhaps it would be better though if I slept in the guest room, as to not make you uncomfortable” he offered, pretty sure his heart would have burst if it hadn’t atrophied completely.
“You could stay here, if you wanted. I trust you Edward, and I swear I won’t tell the church” you grinned, making it obvious that you were teasing him.
All in good fun of course, but you weren’t going to make him do anything either. You knew well enough that he wouldn’t lay a hand on you before marriage, as he’d said before, but you were talking about cuddles.
Cuddling never damned anyone’s immortal soul, did it? He gave thought to it for a moment or two. Edward knew that no one in the house would care, and that Rose and Emmett frequently did much more in the confines of their own room.
Right now, the only person keeping him from crawling in beside you was him, and he didn’t have much of a reason for that.
It just felt wrong in every fiber of his being, and his mother was surely rolling in her grave. Even still, Edward couldn’t say that he was regretting his decision to lay down beside you.
He had just been brought up to feel like he should.
“You’re sure this is okay?” he clarifies, snuggling up to you almost immediately, though he sounded unsure. This, in and of itself, was innocent and he liked it.
It was the staying overnight with a girl in his room that he wasn’t sure about.
“I think so, are you alright with it? I could always bunk in with Alice if you want” you offered, knowing that if he wasn’t ready for something like this, that was perfectly fine too.
You knew that Edward loved you, and something like not wanting to sleep over together wasn’t going to change that. Besides, it became a lot more complicated with a vampire.
You sometimes had to remind yourself that Edward was raised in a completely different era, and did things differently still.
“It’s okay! It’s okay” he assured, his grip tightening around your shoulders to keep you from leaving his side. As strange as it was to be here with you, with the sun setting, he wasn’t going to let it go now.
You were stuck here until that same sun forced you both up out of bed, and you were fine with that.
~
The next morning, you woke up in cold sheets, only kept warm by your own body heat and you half expected to turn over to find the bed empty. Though, pleasantly, you found Edward still there, reading some novel he’d probably read ten times before.
“Fifteen, actually” he joked, shocking you momentarily before you realized he had been listening to your deepest thoughts. “Be careful, you never know what I could be thinking about” you teased, tucking your limbs fully into Emmett’s hoodie.
“I think I’ll take my chances. Now, come on, I’ve a surprise for you” he urged, not even bothering to give you a little bit of time to make yourself presentable.
Esme had come in this morning and asked if he wanted to do something nice for you, and of course, Edward had agreed. He always jumped at the opportunity to spoil you.
The smell hit you as soon as you exited Edward’s bedroom, the smell of bacon and pancakes on the griddle, filling you with a childlike glee. It made you so happy.
...But the food wasn’t the main reason for that.
What meant more to you than anything was the fact that all the Cullen’s would go out of their way to take care of you when they didn’t have to.
It was sweet.
“Wow, you guys must really want me to stick around” you grinned, knowing fully that it wasn’t going to show even a bit of your real gratitude.
It was a joke, something you’d said before in the presence of all the Cullen clan, but for some reason, it rang even more true this morning. It wasn’t a lie, whether they wanted to admit it or not.
Really, they weren’t even sure if it was something you or Edward were aware of but the rest of the Cullen’s certainly were. You and Edward had a connection you just couldn’t hide, and they liked that. Even Rosalie had to comment on how much less moody he was since you’d gotten here.
For the first time in a really long time, he seemed genuinely happy and last night had only solidified that for them.
Edward would have never done something like that with someone he didn’t intend on spending the rest of eternity with.

“Ready to Die”: Benjamin (Egyptian Coven) Imagine
Tumblr media
Benjamin (Egyptian Coven) x Reader: PS Reader, Plus Size Reader , Bella’s sister reader
She was nothing special.
Just a human.
She could've been nobody.
She could've just as easily been any one of their next meals.
She wasn't special... but she'd sacrifice everything for her baby sister.
And she did.
She was dying.
Bella never saw her coming.
Hell, Alice never even saw her coming.
But she took off into the clearing.
Of course, they'd seen her.
Heard her.
She was human and they weren't.
That came with the territory.
And when she sliced open her skin, the scent hit them like a wave and the blood lust set in.
It gave the Cullens and their allies the advantage that they did and they demolished the threat.
But the human... she was dying.
Carlisle tried to save her.
Tried to turn her.
Bella swore she'd be with her through everything.
But she didn't want to change.
She didn't want to be a vampire.
She was ready to die.
But there he was like some sort of dark angel.
Begging her to live.
She didn't know him and he seemed torn between panic and pain.
Benjamin.
That was his name and she only assumed it to be true because the others kept saying it over and over again as they held him back.
The elements raged around him and the sky a dark storm above them.
Rain pounded down on her body and mixed her blood with the dirt beneath her.
She was his mate and that much he was sure.
At that moment her blood was driving him wild but the thought of losing her was pushing him to the brink of insanity.
She didn't want to be a vampire.
She didn't.
But the look on his face.
The tone of his voice.
It was enough to make her stop.
"You only have seconds left." Carlisle said.
"If I don't like it..." she whispered to her sister.  "You have to end it."
Bella hesistated for a moment before she nodded.
"You were willing to die for me.   If it's what you really want...I'll do it."
Hello, darlings! I hope you enjoyed this little imagine!  If you’d like a full flush of the story or perhaps a mini series just let me know! Riley Biers x Plus-size Reader
Part 3
Part 2 ; Part 1
word count: 2371
Requested by @fyeahtaylorp
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Carlisle, let me get this straight, Aro, one of the most dangerous vampires in the world,a maniac who has an obsession with power, recruited Riley Biers into his coven, and now Riley’s sent to what? Check up on my Daughter?!”
Bella was going off on poor Carlisle, but I didn’t blame her, I heard stories of the Volturi and the things they’ve done to people, and recently I’ve heard of the almost brawl between the Olympic coven and said Volturi, and how things had almost gotten messy if Alice and Jasper didn’t show up with the other hybrid in time. I hated to think about such terrible things, I never did like fighting of any kind, I tried to avoid it at all costs, I like to think of it as a type of self-preservation, but not completely.
A loud crash rang throughout the room. Great. Bella broke one of Esme’s vases. Edward promptly escorted Bella from the living room. Everyone else stood around awkwardly for a moment while Esme quickly cleaned the mess. Carlisle cleared his throat but Alice let out a small gasp and stared off into nothing. I was a bit on edge, I felt useless and weird to just stand in the living room waiting for nothing, so I plopped down onto a couch and twiddled my thumbs, “Alice” Jasper’s soft voice was almost inaudible as he whispered her name, his hand was on her waist where he caressed it gently. “It’s Riley..he left Italy”, who is Riley? I hadn’t heard anything about him, was he a friend of theirs? No, not if I was going off of Bella’s reaction, Carlisle then asked when he’d be here, “Tomorrow morning, just as the sun starts rising...But that’s all” she leaned more into Jasper, is Riley dangerous? A threat? I feel so confused. Rosalie’s voice sounded mocking when she spoke, “He’s just another one of the Volturi’s dirty dogs, why doesn’t Aro just come here himself?”, good point, Carlisle gave her an apprehensive look, “You know why Rosalie, Aro probably doesn’t think it’s necessary to come himself, he won’t waste his time with such things”, Rosalie scoffed, rolling her eyes, “Yeah right, he seemed pretty interested last time, but that’s not my business”, I knew Carlisle was trying to keep calm, “Last time was a totally different story, I believe you do remember” he didn’t wait for her to say something else, “Now, I think we should all try to relax a bit before tomorrow, go out, enjoy yourselves” with that said, he and Esme left through the balcony’s exit, probably to go hunting. Rosalie went her own way while Jasper and Emmett raced each other outside, most likely for a bear wrestling match again, and Alice, she bounced her way over to me, taking her place on the couch beside me. I raised a curious brow in her direction, “You’re awfully springy Alice”. She smiled, leaning in closer to me, she swept the room with her eyes before whispering, “I saw something else (y/n)”, oh, why would Alice be sharing this with me? She seemed to know what I was thinking, “It’s about you” “Me?” “Let me finish” I pouted, fine, Alice gripped my hands gently, her smile widening, “Do you know what a mate is?”, I nodded, Esme had told me not long after I was turned, “Well, your mate just so happens to be Riley...Isn’t it great!”.
“What” I didn’t believe my ears, I frowned , “Alice are you sure? Riley? RIley is my mate?”, she just simply nodded, “But don’t worry, he won’t hurt you (y/n), I’ve-” “Seen it, yeah, great, just great, my mate, who I know nothing about, just so happens to be working for a bunch of sicko vampire overlords who have a creepy obsession with Bella!  Oh how wonderful” my head slumped into my hands and I wish I could sigh, my heart would be pounding if it could. I felt Alice rub my back, “Hey, it’s going to work out just fine, you’ll see, but for now” she got up, “I have clothes to re-arrange” and she was gone, I stared after her, she’s just going to leave it there? I get nothing else? No other explanation? Great, yeah, I’m screwed. As much as I wanted to be happy, I couldn’t bring myself to embrace it, Edwardo and Bella are going to rip me a new one, and I didn’t even want to imagine Rosalie’s reaction. I hope everything turns out okay tomorrow. I really do.
Morning couldn’t have come any slower, I spent the whole night sitting on the couch, wandering about everything, no doubt Edward already knew what I knew, but he hadn’t said anything yet, I hope he doesn’t. At least not to Bella.
Everyone gathered around outside, it was very misty and no human would be able to see even 10 feet in front of them. Bella held Renesmee protectively behind herself, the scent of wet dog invaded my senses and I pulled my mouth into a sneer, I was familiar with this wolf’s scent, his name was Jacob, he came around nearly every day to spend time with Renesmee and I could see her smile when she noticed him. Jacob was in his wolf form and stood beside Bella, on her other side was Edward. Alice’s voice broke the silence in the air, “He’s here” , and there, not even 15 feet from me, appeared Riley. I took in Riley’s appearance, he was very attractive, lean but built, like Jasper. He looked wet, did he swim here? From Italy?
“Long time no see, Riley” Edward said, he seemed slightly uncomfortable, Bella looked like she was about to attack at any moment and I just stood beside Emmett shuffling my feet. Riley shrugged, his eyes swept over us, lingering on me for a moment, I felt a tug in my mind, I wanted to be near him, Riley’s face scrunched up in confusion for a moment, he must’ve felt it too, but he shook his head before speaking, “I won’t say I’m happy about it Cullen, but you know why I’m here, where’s the girl” , Jacob stepped forward with a snarl and a loud hiss was shot at him, everyone’s heads turned to me, and I knew that sound was created by me, “Sorry, I don’t know what happened” I said it so soft, it would’ve been missed by any human ears. Emmett let out a whistle but Rosalie shot him a look which shut him up, Carlisle stepped forward and gained everyone’s attention, I felt stupid and embarrassed, “It’s alright (y/n), I’ll explain later, but for now, Bella, if you please” Carlisle held out his hand to Renesmee, and Bella grudgingly stepped out of the way to let her daughter pass, Riley caught my eye for a second before he turned his gaze to Renesmee, he walked forward, not at all bothered by Jacob’s low growl, and he knelt down in front of her, he looked her over, she was a head taller than him now, “How much longer before she’s fully mature?”, Bella answered, “Three years”, Renesmee looked about fifteen , Riley nodded, “Her diet so far? How has her hunger and thirst been?”, “She feeds more on animals than human food, she’s had no problems switching between the two and her thirst is under control” another nod from Riley. I watched Renesmee closely,  she seemed perfectly comfortable with Riley, I wonder why.
I think everyone found it weird when she all of a sudden placed her hand on RIley’s cheek, Riley flinched back, causing Jacob to become aggrivated and step forward, this caused me step forward as well, “Back off dog” I let out a growl, even in his wolf form I could notice the sudden taken aback look, “Jacob, (y/n), back off and calm down” Carlisle turned to Riley who was watching me, I huffed and did as I was told, but kept my eyes on Jacob, “Riley, don’t worry, it’s how Renesmee communicates, through physical touch”, Riley gave a slow cautious move forward again, “...Alright...”, Renesmee gave him a small smile before placing her hand on his cheek, Riley froze the instant her hand made contact with his skin, she must be talking to him, or showing him her memories, I don’t know how her abilities work honestly, I don’t think I ever will.
The tension in the air seemed to fade slightly when Renesmee pulled her hand away and Riley stood up and...Laughed? What? Bella shot forward and pinned Riley to a tree by his neck, “What’s so funny?!” Riley never got a chance to answer because I tackled Bella to the ground the next instant, “Don’t..Touch..him” I don’t know what came over me, was it the pull form earlier? Or was it because Riley is supposed to be my mate? I felt a wave of calm wash over me and two pairs of arms pull me up and away from Bella, I looked at Jasper, who was holding my right arm, he nodded his head, “Easy there” , i looked to my left to see Emmett who gave me a knowing smirk, I scoffed, “Go eat shi-” “”That’s enough, I believe we can discuss this inside, if you would” Carlisle motioned for Riley to follow him into the house, Edward had helped Bella up and they were already inside as well as Alice, Rosalie and Esme. Emmett told Jasper to head on in while he talked to me. Emmett crossed his arms, wiggling his eyebrows, “So, you found yourself a mate” I nodded, Emmett let out a laugh and ruffled my hair, “That’s awesome (y/n)!” I brushed his hands away, “No, Emmett! Bella’s going to rip me a new one!” Emmett shrugged, “Nah, she’ll get over it, she has to eventually” Emmett pulled me inside, I wish I was as carefree as him.
Inside, Carlisle was already explaining some things to Riley, I held my distance and chose to sit on the kitchen counter instead, everyone was scattered between the living area and the kitchen. “...We’ll give you some privacy, but don’t try anything”. Riley appeared in the kitchen. It was only the two of us now. Yay. Neither of us said a word, we just stared at each other, we were both probably taking everything in from what happened inside. It was I who broke the sience, “So,uhm, Riley...You swam here?” Riley raised a brow, “Yeah, I guess, it’s the fastest way here from Italy” I nodded biting my lip, “So...(y/n)...You liking the weather?”, I chuckled, “You’re asking me about the weather?” , Riley offered a small smile, “Yeah, I guess I am”, I shake my head and look out the large window before looking back at him, “I prefer the cold rainy days above the heat, of course I can’t really be affected by it either way now, but you catch my drift...” I hope., Riley took a tentative step forward and I hopped off the counter, we were two feet apart now, Riley stood a head taller than me, “How did you end up with the Volturi? If you don’t mind me asking”, he explained that after the battle with Victoria and the newborn Army, Edward had spared his life and Riley spent one year in hiding from anyone, but the Volturi had discovered his scent and had tracked him down, at first they were going to kill him, but Aro was intrigued by his ability to sense whether someone was lying to him, so he asked Riley to join his coven in Italy, and now, a month later, here he was, in the house of his newfly found mate and running errands for the Volturi.
It was long since past noon and the sky was darkening, Riley and I had gotton on great after the initial awkwardness faded, and turns out we had a lot in common.  Riley had asked me what it was with the whole golden eye thing and I explained to him that it was as a result of the animal diet we were all on, Riley found it interesting since all he’s known was human blood, but I offered to take him out hunting later that night, and then he could experience it himself, he agreed and we talked some more. I learnt that he was turned at nineteen and he was manipulated by Victoria to create a newborn army, but recently he’s been taking his vampire life easy, he didn’t hate anyone, but he did really miss his parents, and he knows he can’t visit them because they think he’s dead and Aro would kill them. In turn I shared my story with him, and he was pleased to know I was only a year younger than him, well, used to be a year younger in human terms anyway. We were generally just really enjoying the other’s company and we never left the each other’s side at all.
But the next morning Riley had to leave, I felt dour, I just met my mate, and now he was already being taken away from me. It seemed unfair, but I didn’t let it show on my face, but that didn’t keep Edward fro reading my thoughts and shooting me glares which I kindly returned, he’s such a stupid shiny volvo owner.
It wasn’t raining today, which was great since it wouldn’t be intensifying the stench that was Jacob Black, he was in his human form today. I had apologised to him last night about almost attacking him and he was fine with it, I hadn’t apologised to Bella yet though.
Everyone was once again outside, Carlisle had written a note for Riley to give to Aro, it was details about Renesmee. Bella and Edward didn’t really say much, but Bella did say sorry to Riley for basically strangling him which he accepted. I hugged him, we were the perfect fit for each other. “Goodbye for now Riley, I hope we see each other soon”,Riley held up his hand and stuck out his pinky while he smirked, “Pinky promise” I grinned, interlocking our pinky fingers, “Pinky promise”
And then he was gone.
